Just checking in[edit]

Hi! My name is Cindy and I am working with Ed this semester to support the Political Participation course, taught by Professor Tess Marchant-Shapiro. I can be reached either through my talk page, email, or on IRC at #wikipedia-en-classroom. Please feel free to contact either myself or Ed any time you have a question. We are both here to help and look forward to working with you! Best regards, Cind.amuse (Cindy) 07:48, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

Your addition to American Gas Association has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Best regards, Cind.amuse (Cindy) 17:47, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! I have removed content from the above referenced article that contained content in violation of copyright laws. This is a legal issue that cannot at any time remain in an article. I have also removed commentary from the article. Please use your sandbox to develop, improve, and cite your work prior to making changes to the existing article. I have identified issues with the article in mainspace. Please note that if another editor catches wind of this article, it may be speedy deleted due to the wholly promotional tone. It is important that the article content present the subject in a neutral manner. It is essential that you first locate significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Then write the article, based on the coverage that you find. Too often, new editors approach articles a bit by putting the cart before the horse, i.e., writing an article, then scrambling to find sources that may somehow support what has been written. Find your sources first. Remember, primary sources cannot be used to establish notability. This includes the subject's website and publications, as well as information associated with and/or affiliated with the organization in any manner. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions. Best regards, Cind.amuse (Cindy) 18:03, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
