Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:35, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bruce Lee[edit]

Hello, if you are unaware, you are now starting to engage in an edit war. Usually the best thing to do is to start an discussion on the talk page to state your opinion in the obvious disagreement. In this case, the topic was brought up before and was settled, though that does not always mean it can't be brought up again as opinions could change. So feel free to start an discussion.

I'll sum what could happen if edit war continues:

  1. User complains to an admin resulting in the article to be protecting from any editing
  2. Someone becomes pissed off and starts to be a real dick.
  3. User complain to admin about a dickish user.
  4. Dickish user gets blocked from editing Wikipedia.

As far as I can tell, you were not aware of the policy, so you are now. There has been far too many blocks and protections because of edits wars on that article, and trust me, It never ends well. I do hope this can be peacefully settled. You may want to look at WP:CONCENSUS if you wish to start a discussion. Have a nice day, -- wiooiw (talk) 22:43, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of best-selling music artists[edit]

Please refrain from removing United States as you have done in this edit. The column clearly states Origin not Nationality. As you can see, Rihanna's home market, Barbados is listed also, although she has begun her professional career in the US and has lived in the US ever since. If you have suggestions, feel free to open up a new section at the discussion page and state your opinion but refrain from edit warring. Regards.--Harout72 (talk) 15:39, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"The Truth" v. Consensus[edit]

Wikipedia runs on consensus. Even if you think something is wrong, even if you end up being right, consensus is more important than that. If "the truth" was more important, edit warring would happen hourly. Thank you. I Help, When I Can. [12] 18:23, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

3RR warning[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of best-selling music artists. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.Kww(talk) 18:26, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
