Thanks for the explanation on my talk page. I understand your arguments, but I disagree with your action, and I'd like to request that you restore the article and initiate an RFD debate. The article wasn't unsourced — it cited six sources from national media, including a national television documentary devoted to Bill Mullins-Johnson (and the sources were added by several different authors). In Canada, this was a major national news story for more than a year — the article's not about the crime that he didn't commit (except for background), but about the injustice that was committed on him by the police and government. There have been several similar cases of wrongful convictions in Canada, and they remain a current and widely-discussed topic (apologies if you're Canadian and already aware of all this). See this? [2]. This is a direct result of ArbCom fiddling while Rome burns. I understand where you are coming from, that no administrator should "rewrite" an ArbCom restriction, but are you going to tell me that saying that a "topic ban" means that "you can't edit articles about it, unless you're making "minor changes", or a majority of the article isn't under your topic ban." At least you spoke up, which is more then I can say for some of your colleagues (I'm not speaking of the ones who recused, or the ones already aware of this. Instead of a five minute "clarification" that says the obvious: "yes, if you're topic banned, you can't edit anything about it".. we are going 3+ DAYS. No updates in about a day. Really guys, you were elected to jar ArbCom out of its slumber. Instead, it seems the new ArbCom has entered the same torpor that claimed the last one. I undid this and asked the guy who did these revisions, User:Lkeever2, to stop vandalizing this site. I got the following response:

Image licensing

I took it upon myself to improve the Italy national baseball team page. Along the way, I created the following image:

I couldn't figure out all of the licensing, so I copied the licensing off a Major League Baseball uniform PNG file. My guess is that the licensing is the same, but I'm not sure. If anyone out there who is more wiki-savvy than me can fix it for me, I'd appreciate it. Discussion about AfD rules

Hi, Wizardman, the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_deletion#Proposal_to_change_the_length_of_deletion_discussions_to_7_days seems to show overwhelming support. However I notice no names I recognise as admins. I think this is a serious gap since admins would have to implement any decision, and I'd also hope they'd raise any policy implications that might have escaped notice. It would be helpful if you could comment and ask a few other admins to comment. Replace this image

When you remove the "replace this image" image, why are you also removing the imagesize field? It does no harm to leave it there empty. And when someone does add an image, they may not know that the imagesize field could be used if it's missing. Just curious... Dismas|(talk) 03:26, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Need your help again

Remember my question about the image I created for Italy national baseball team? I created the same image for United States national baseball team and Netherlands national baseball team. The one for Netherlands was deleted by User:Carnildo's bot. Little Horn

I somewhat understand why you deleted this article. But When I see albums by groups like the Beastie Boys, every song usually as it's own article. So Why not Manson? Especially on The Antichrist Superstar album I think a lot of people would really enjoy learning what each song is about. So if I could improve the little horn article, could we keep it? Hey Wiz. Thanks for the note. I had actually wanted to add Scjessey to the list of involved parties, but hadn't gotten around to asking if it would be appropriate to do so or how to go about it. If you think it's a bad idea I'm okay with that.

I had also posted a comment for you on one of the Arb talk pages (the evidence related one I think) about whether you thought I should go ahead and provide diffs of inappropriate behavior or whether the outcome of the Arb proceeding would provide a venue for the reporting and independent review of future instances, which would satisfy my concerns. I'm not interested in making trouble or causing drama be seeking punitive measures, and I'm not sure it's worth delving into the history. I would like a collegial editing environment free of soap boxing, personal attacks, and disruptive behavior such as aggresive archiving, refactoring of thread titles etc (can you hear the John Lennon music in the background?). I do appreciate the time taken to conduct the Arb proceeding and if my providing specific diffs is helpful to achieve appropriate remedies I will proceed in doing so. Maybe I'm asking you to respond to a question in a way that would in and of itself involve you inappropriately? Is there someone else who can answer? There was another comment made on the talk page after mine, but I'm still not entirely clear on the best approach and I would appreciate any guidance that you or one of your page watchers wants to offer. In an ideal world I'd like to spend my time improving content and collaborating on articles, but I certianly recognize that there is sometimes a need to take the time and make the effort to ensure enforcement mechanisms are utilized appropriately so that editing can be done in a civil and collegial atmosphere. Thanks for your consideration and response Wiz. I'm a bit saddened by the time and frustration spent in this type of dispute and I am worried whether I am playing a contructive part in it all. I was sorry to see AGK depart after he seemed to grow fed up with this kind of thing, so I'm a bit mortified by the current feuding. I do think issues of censorship and political bias are important. And I hope that there is a way to encourage all editors to abide by our guidelines on civility and article editing . While I have mixed feelings about involving myself further, I do think it's important that everyone plays fair in editing. We'll see what happens in this case. Thanks again for your time and I apologize for whatever part I've played in fueling this fuss. As far as I can tell, there are dozens of users who are noted "frequently" on the evidence page, yet few of these have been added. Why have I been singled out for this honor in particular? On first inspection, it appears as if I have been named because CoM inappropriately added me himself (before being reverted). Howdy Wizardman

I notice the DYK noms are backlogged right now and I appreciate your work moving things forward. I've been trying to review stuff at the bottom of the list to help move things along myself. However, I'm a bit disappointed at waiting for ages for a hook to be reviewed, then being asked to provide another suggestion within 24 hours [5] [6] and then having it removed two hours later [7]. Appreciate the offer - give me an hour to hunt for a more interesting hook/refs (why the hell couldn't I be interested in a more 'net connected country!).
