Want to see a scarily similar consonant system to Na'vi? Check out Itelmen. Apart from the extra palatal and uvular series & corresponding lack of [ts], and a couple differences in "accent", bilabial for labiodental and [x] for [h], they're virtually identical. Quite a few languages have a single voiced fricative, most commonly [β]. And in the case of Samoan, there's no [w], suggesting that one might could analyze the v as /w/. There really don't seem to be many languages with an entire voiced fric series that don't have a voiced plosive series. (Athabaskan is another example, but there you do have VOT distinctions in both, even if they're aspiration in plosives & voicing in fricatives.) kwami (talk) 04:13, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, it looks like the dialogue sound files have been deleted.[2] You didn't happen to get them while they were up, did you?
