Re: Ray Murphy[edit]

Re your message: The previous article at Ray Murphy was somebody's joke article and nowhere near related to anybody important. Feel free to create a new article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:02, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Ray Murphy[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ray Murphy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. 132 20:42, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but I've deleted this as meeting WP:CSD. You may want to carefully review Wikipedia:Your first article.
For more general information about the deletion process, please see User:Dlohcierekim/deletion
If you believe the subject does in fact meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information, please contact me on my talk page.
If you wish to make test edits or work on the article before creating it, you can create a test page at User:Wombat140/test.
Cheers, and happy editing. Dlohcierekim 20:56, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ray Murphy[edit]

I've put a speedy template on the article. I have no issues with the article remaining if an admin chooses to keep it, but if it does get deleted, I highly suggest you wait to create the article again when you have more time to work on it (and build it up in a sandbox before uploading it). Thanks. --132 20:45, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. Please feel free to recreate this when you have time to work on it-- atleast create a lead that identifies the subject and what he is/has done that meets WP:BIO and WP:BLP. Be sure to include verifiable information from reliable sources. You might want to build the article on a test page inyour userspace, for instance User:Wombat140/Ray Murphy. Ask a more experienced user to look at it, and then move it to the article space when it's ready. In fact, maybe I'll do that now. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 21:00, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
