File permission problem with File:Emmanuel Adewole in action for Hammerfest FK.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Emmanuel Adewole in action for Hammerfest FK.jpg, which you've attributed to Hammerfest FK. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:49, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Wonder6490. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Emmanuel Adewole, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. You state in your edit to User:Allison 's talkpage that Adewole is your "client". Please read up on Wikipedia's rules on Conflicts of Interests linked above. Thanks. the player Emmanuel adewole is NOT in close relation to myself the editor "wonder6490". He is a former client of our sporting company Zizo soccer agency. http://www.zizosa.com/emmanuel-wonder-adewole.html which is why the username and edit may appear in similar correlation to that of the player.

As a result, we try to keep up with the progress of their career and make changes to the public viewing as needed. Emmanuel is not a minor league player, and his currently playing in cyprus. I no longer represent him, but I initially created his wikipedia page. Changes have been made to the page over the years, but more recently there has been an abuse of power to edit, by unknown editors which resulted in me amending the page. The player is a professional footballer and can be verified on acceptable databases. http://www.footballdatabase.eu/football.joueurs.emmanuel.adewole.242379.en.html

We no longer represent the player, but due to his lack of tech savvy I sort of oversaw his page from time to time. I am only another member of the public with an unbiased view of the individual, and do not write to appease neither the player nor any other user. In ties past it is obvious I did not leave an edit summary on the edit page and I truly apologize for that. I will refrain from continuous editing of this individuals page as frequently done prior. If, and only when a contribution is needed may i consider adding anything. Finally, any and all persons are more than welcome to contribute to the page Emmanuel_Adewole, however, I believe it would be unecessary and unreasonable to (i) delete the page (ii) allow false and defamatory statements to be made on his page.

Thanks, Little Professor

Proposed deletion of Emmanuel Adewole[edit]

The article Emmanuel Adewole has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Vanity page created almost exclusively by user "wonder6490" which happens to be the nickname and dob of this non-notable minor league football player

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Drmies (talk) 16:43, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am aware of why I was blocked and I openly write to clarify that my contributions to the wikipedia encyclopedia are not for promotional purposes neither is it to cause conflict. I simply wanted to contribute with the creation of the page Emmanuel adewole. I do not intend to make contributions to other articles of different subject topic in the future and I sincerely apologize of any wrongdoing I may have expressed. In a humble manner, I truly hope you, the administrators, see I do not intend to create damage, vandalize or make disruptive edits to wikipedia. The facts on the person (emmanuel adewole) previously edited are true, the statements on the created page are true and unbias to suggest a POV, and if I went about putting it on this encyclopedia in a way that looked to be of malicious intents, or for purposes contrary to the guides of being a contributor I genuinely say i am sorry as this was not the intentions. I do not seek any recognition for the edits to wikipedia, neither do I do it to promote a person or topic. Please, kindly unblock my account "wonder6490" as I am now aware of the consequences of my actions on this platform. I am not a promoter of any kind, neither is my use of wikipedia for notoriety. The similarity in nickname and date of birth of the person being edited is solely for the purpose of remembrance and has nothing to do with any ties or association to the person. My name is Arthur Hermann and not Emmanuel Adewole. Going forward, I will make it a conscious effort to not edit or make contributions to anyone or anything I may have had previous connections to. All I have done so far on wikipedia is in good faith and I hope this is considered in my appeal to the unblocked. Thank you.

Decline reason:

" I do not intend to make contributions to other articles of different subject topic in the future" Sounds like you only intend to work on this article alone. That would be inappropriate as the subject is not notable enough for an article on this Wikipedia. If you want to be unblocked, please provide us examples of edits you would make if your account were unblocked. only (talk) 13:43, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I have read the reason for the decline and in fact the highlighted point was a typo. "I do intend" to make contributions to other articles on wikipedia in the future. Of course I will like to make edits to wikipedia; knowledge is power and if I can share what I know with others certainly I will. Although the main purpose of creating an account was primarily to contribute towards a particular page my interest are broad. It is definitely difficult to know a person without seeing them or trying to identify the intents of a person based on what they write so I surely sympathize with you the administrators and I understand your position. I like football, golf; let us say sports in general. Cars, watches, a bit of history whether it is German history or internationally and a little bit of art. Maybe a little geography too because I like to travel and learn fun facts. I didn't know till recently the hummingbird weighed less than a Pfennig coin. If or when my account is unblocked, unquestionably I will like to contribute to these fields. I hope this answers the question of the administration only who reviewed my prior unblock appeal. Thank you

Accept reason:

Following your unblock request, I've unblocked your account. However, if there are further problems, you will be blocked indefinitely again. In this context, I suggest you consider this to be a second and final chance. PhilKnight (talk) 19:29, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

matter not resolved.[edit]

The unblock ticket request system states the matter has been resolved and I can no longer request an unblock...this is unfair because in fact the issue has not been resolved. It is one administrator asking a question after another and i'm simply disappointed in the manner this case was handled. Whether I am unblocked or not at this point is beyond me; I just feel compelled to state my disappointment. Best of luck to you all.

Said administrators are the ones who would ultimately unblock you. If they're asking questions, it's because they want you to answer them; such questions are going to be germane as to whether or not they will unblock you. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 00:47, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

PhilKnight thank you for reviewing my request and considering my appeal. Drmies also to you for accepting for the unblock be lifted. Happy holidays to you both
