Welcome!

Hello, Worldbeats, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place helpme before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

PS I notice you have what looks like a trial of an article below. Talk pages are generally used to aid communication between editors - this is where people will come to leave you messages - and using your talk page like this could make it difficult for them to do that or for you to see the message. You can set up practice pages within the your user section simply by adding a subpage. For instance typing Banford will give you User:Worldbeats/Allan Banford which you can edit while leaving this page free for communication. Many editors have a personal sandbox (for instance User:Worldbeats/sandbox) they use for testing things out, but separate pages allow you to keep what you've been working on indefinitely if it;s useful to your editing. Just a quick tip about using your user pages like this - try to ensure you don't put categories or fair use images into them. You can use place holders or put a colon straight after the first set of brackets (e.g. :image:Allan_Banford_closeup.jpg and Banford, Allan). Wiipedia does not allow fair use images on user pages becasue of copyright concerns and the category trick stops other users seeing your test user page show up in the actual category list!. Hope this is useful -- SiobhanHansa 15:22, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Aoife Madden[edit]

A tag has been placed on Aoife Madden requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 22:44, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Worldbeats and welcome to Wikipedia. I've declined the speedy deletion of Aoife Madden, as playing lead in an RSC production seems quite an assertion of notability to me. ϢereSpielChequers 23:13, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Aoife Madden2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. File source problem with File:AoifeMadden.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:AoifeMadden.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:16, 23 July 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ttonyb1 (talk) 14:16, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maintenance tag removal - Aoife Madden[edit]

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Aoife Madden, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. ttonyb1 (talk) 14:18, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Aoife Madden requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

A tag has been placed on File:Pinadd Global Media Corporation.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:A Landscape of Lies.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:A Landscape of Lies.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add OTRS pending to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:40, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Raconteur Media[edit]

Hello Worldbeats,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Raconteur Media for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, ToastyMallows (talk) 19:02, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
