A tag has been placed on Nirsoft requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Fiddle Faddle 15:25, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
Hey, I very much like that you've vectorized the slackware tux.

it would be great if you posted it to deviantart or something like that. post to me or something when/if you decide to.

Thank You. Blacklite Teh HaXxor (talk) 13:45, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The file seems to be mis-aligned to the right a bit and is cropped off at the top ever so slightly. Either way, it is still an improvement over the previous version. :) Thanks. -- dsprc [talk] 22:08, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Linux keymap[edit]

Hi, regarding your edit on Keyboard layout, I don't want to get into a debate on whether Linux is by itself an operating system, so I'm not touching the edit, but your edit summary claiming that there's nothing in the Linux kernel defaulting to the US keyboard layout is simply incorrect. Linux - the kernel alone, without nothing else - comes with keyboard support, and that keyboard support must by necessity have a default keymap applied to it. You can see here that the default keymap is a US one. LjL (talk) 20:17, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, okay. I see what you mean. I was thinking that because you can change the setting at compile-time, and a kernel that hasn't been compiled isn't really a runnable program yet, that there is no real default. I guess you're correct that the configuration tools default to US english unless changed, though. Wyatt8740 (talk) 19:21, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
