Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Slate/Touchscreen[edit]

You recently edited the Mobile_phone_form_factors#Touchscreen section to start using the word "touchscreen" instead of "slate". The thing is that some slider phones such as the Motorola Droid also got touchscreens on them so what is the source for this naming convention? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Diblidabliduu (talk • contribs) 02:26, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Touchscreen smartphone" is the de-facto naming standard for a touchscreen smartphone. Nobody (worth mention) calls any smartphone a "slate" phone (the previous form factor description). I couldn't find a single instance of it being used before the Wikipedia entry. However there are hundreds of thousands of instances of "touchscreen smartphone" (or "Touchscreen phone") being used. There are slider touchscreen phones that feature both the features of a slider and of a touchscreen phone (and can be used both ways). Those are convertible devices or devices that can do both; not just one thing or another. --X4n63r (talk) 14:14, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
