Preliminary Review from Kaylea[edit]

Hi, I'm starting to walk through articles and give everyone informal early feedback on how they're doing. You'll notice this is a little bit form-letter-ish but I hope it is still helpful.

Nice work finding a Communication-related article that needs help -- I hope it is also a topic where you have some interest. My general take right now is that you're making good progress on this article, so please keep working. Be sure to incorporate feedback from the peer review. You might find it helpful to apply the peer review guide to your own article as you think about where to go next.

Peer Review[edit]

Hello Xiying, Just wanted to let you know I did a peer review on your article draft. Great read! :) Review here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Xiying_Huang/Media_strategy/Jalenrose8_Peer_Review

feedback on progress[edit]

Hi @Xiying Huang:

You are definitely almost done with this article. The only thing that is missing right now is a clear lead. Aim for a few sentences that summarize the article. The lead doesn't have a header and will show up above the table of contents. I would rename Introduction to something like Overview.

See this guide: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section

Once that is cleaned up, you will be good to launch.

A reminder of our go-live steps:

  1. Final read-through draft.
  2. Check live article for changes. [History Tab]
  3. Two browsers side by side, if you can. Code mode, not visual editor.
  4. Paragraph by paragraph copy, leaving behind an explanatory edit summary after each chunk of changes.
  5. Note on article talk page.
  6. Note at the top of your sandbox version.
  7. Celebrate!
