Shipping[edit]

Well, THAT'S a nice thing to say about shippers. I mean, I agree, shipping shouldn't be allowed in articles, but still...kinda harsh. Don't you support an Avatar shipping? Or are you one of those viewers who really enjoys the art and story line more? If so, that's cool, I'm just curious.24.154.137.15 01:33, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Arowen Half-Elven[reply]

Anger[edit]

Ha, you've been getting these messages too! Oh by the way, welcome to Hell... I mean Wikipedia. Hope you don't have High Blood Pressure!

How many sane, logical people go to the Avatar pages anyway? Seriously, I must know. I sigh at fangirls and shippers. And then they keep arguing for it and so I yell. And then they say I have issues. THEY tell ME that I have issues...I guess they'd know. Bleh...Y BCZ 19:16, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well they are really good at finding "facts". H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 19:23, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Look! The blue streaks! OMG it's lightning! Y BCZ 19:56, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And even AFTER I proved that wrong they still argue. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 20:04, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Right on!!! I mean, yeah, I'm a shipper, but it ANNOYS me when people get crazy about it. They're always like did you SEE THAT?!?!?!?!?! THAT'S SO (insert shipping name here)!!! It's not a matter of pointing out facts, it's a matter of being practical. It's fun (heaven knows, I am a SHAMELESS shipper), but COME ON, let's not go TOO far...208.122.69.29 15:35, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Arowen Half-Elven[reply]

HUG ME! I'm contagious! H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 02:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I recently traveled into the heart of shipping, said some rather dangerous stuff, and came out unscathed. Though I made a new enemy: [1] (I'm "Y"). The logical functions of my brain nearly exploded from trying to argue my point against these people. Y BCZ 03:01, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Well now you've completely chucked logic out the window" I love that line. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 03:08, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • "HUG ME! I'm contagious!" AW!!! Why'd ya have to link that awful spoiler, H2P?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I was in SUCH a Zutara mood because of the season finale spill, but now I read that and I'm REALLY, REALLY SAD!!! *sobs* Okay *deep healing breath*. I'll get over this...71.164.44.185 03:10, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Arowen Half-Elven[reply]

...It's not a spoiler. It's BS. The guy made it up and posted it on Wiki. Y BCZ 03:14, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, much as I hate to admit it, that story about the cave, as I understand from convention reports, actually originates from the Avatar creators at PMX. But it is in season 3, NOT the finale, and many actually thought it was a joke.--Fyre2387 (talkcontribs) 04:32, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think they were joking. Because the big Kataang moment was when they got stuck in a cave. I think the creators said it to mock the shipping (like at Comic-con). H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 05:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • IT'S NOT A SPOILER!?!?!?!?!?!?!? *does a happy dance* PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY GOD IN HEAVEN ABOVE!!! From what I understand, the cave thing was legit, but that's based on what a friend told me; I haven't heard anything myself. Personally, being a Zutarian, I obviously hope it's true, but I guess it's not confirmed yet. But the scenario makes sense, if that's the real episode title, and if some of these other leaks are true *shrugs*.71.164.44.185 21:09, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Arowen Half-Elven[reply]

Heh, yeah I saw what all you guys did today. Apparently I missed some fun shit! Honestly thought I think my last statement on Zuko's page about sums up his whole argument. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 06:37, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mobilize![edit]

Should be some fun coming soon. I think I remove Zutara stuff twice a day now. It's starting to get annoying. Anyway, apparently, someone is going to feel "stupid" when the episode airs. I hope you can bite the bullet on that one, I don't think I should feel stupid during finals week. I'll make it up to you I swear. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 07:47, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not gonna feel stupid. Frustrated, maybe, but not stupid. I think there's a far greater chance that the shippers will feel a little stupid, though. Y BCZ 17:46, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OVER[edit]

Yeah right man. Watch...erhm "OMG Zuko and Iroh are playing along with Azula so that Zuko can over throw his father when he gets back into the Fire Nation. And then he'll fall madly in love with Katara." Wow, that hurt my brain. Plus, Toph holding Sokka's arm to gain her balance will cause serious shipping. AND, if you just LOOK at the Crossroads page... well that's gonna be hell for a week. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 02:25, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Co-ruler[edit]

Azula mentioned that she and Zuko would rule Ba Sing Se together. -Robert25

She's sitting on the throne. That's a clear indication of "I rule now, bow before me!" not "Let's share, Zuko!" Y BCZ 02:43, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have to disagree. If she didn't want to share the throne then she would have no reason to allow Zuko to return to the Fire Nation and/ or live. - Robert 25

I strongly disagree. There's no indication that she's going to give Zuko equal power, so until such information is proven true, I suggest you keep that stuff off the articles. Azula may very well have just sought Zuko's help because she only had two Dai Li agents with her, and knew that she wouldn't be able to fight Aang and Katara long enough before back-up arrived. Afterwards, with Zuko having demonstrated that he was willing to stand and fight beside her, Azula likely figured it best to have Zuko return as an ally than be another enemy for her to deal with. Y BCZ 19:52, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Really, if you wanna get technical, it can even be said that this is just another attempt of hers to capture Zuko. She let him serve his purpose in the battle, but I think it's been made clear enough that she has designs on his throne. Besides, if Azula makes Zuko co-ruler for real, then she won't have accomplished her mission. Ozai didn't say, "Azula, go bring down the Earth Kingdom", he told her to capture her brother and uncle. If we know anything about Azula, it's that she's a major daddy's girl who refuses to fail. I don't think this co-ruler thing (if that's what it really is) will last long. Besides, when Azula was trying to win Zuko over in the cave she said, if I remember rightly, "At the end of this day, you will have your honor, you will have Father's love, you will have everything you want". Unless I'm mistaken, she said nothing about him recieving his throne.71.164.49.109 20:02, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Arowen Half-Elven[reply]
  • What he wanted was his right place on the throne. If Azula lives up to her promise (though she probably won't) then he will become crown prince of the Fire Nation. Robert 25
  • I think it's pretty obvious as to what Zuko wants (or THINKS he wants). I'm just worried about what Azula was actually planning to do. She may have wanted him as an ally without giving him any REAL power, but then again, this whole thing could be a plot to capture him. At the time when she enlisted his help, she knew she needed him RIGHT THEN, but I don't think she would be willing to bring him back to the Fire Nation for real when it runs the risk of her losing her position, and making him heir apparent again. Honestly, I really don't care why she did what she did, cause I'm pretty confident that before all's said and done, she'll double-cross him or something similar, and Zuko will end up on the good side again, regardless of how he gets there. But I can always be wrong; that's my major concern right now. But I don't think you can put a character through THAT much of a character developement stage (literally undergoing a painful spiritual metamorphosis and all), and shove him back to square one like they did. I think Mike and Bryan still have a few tricks up their sleeves. *knowing grin*71.164.45.33 21:11, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Arowen Half-Elven[reply]

I saw your message, I don't think that can be speedy deleted. Nominate them all for deletion, and remove the 'featured list' tag from each one. That would be the best bet, I agree with you, they should be deleted. J Milburn 16:03, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could I suggest that mundane editorial disagreements are most likely to resolve quickly and productively when editors observe the following:

  • Remain polite per WP:Civility.
  • Solicit feedback and ask questions.
  • Keep the discussion focused. Concentrate on a small set of related matters and resolve them to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Focus on the subject rather than on the personalities of the editors.

Thanks! I've noticed that your comments on several of these pages have called people "noobs" or used "BS" which are a bit troublesome. You may wish to try more neutral language. FrozenPurpleCube 17:05, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Using neutral language doesn't work on most these people, most of them need a smack to the back of the head before they get it. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 22:57, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you sent some messages to folks asking them to participate in this AfD. While I respect the desire to seek opinions, in fact, I suggested getting that before acting myself, AfD's are not a vote, and soliciting people's votes is somewhat troubling. It can start things off on a bad directon. Therefore, I added to {{notaballot}} tag to the discussion. Hopefully it won't be a problem, but I do ask you try a more neutral approach to seeking people's opinions. FrozenPurpleCube 23:12, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All he did was make sure the main editors of the Avatar WikiProject knew about the pages. Had he not sent me that I would not have known that someone was trying to split our featured list. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 23:17, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
while reaching out to more people may itself be a laudable goal, but to accomplish that, I would suggest instead using a notice board for the Avatar Wikiproject, or putting it on the discussion page of the main article. That would be much less ethically troublesome, as by selecting individual people, it creates an impression of balloting. FrozenPurpleCube 01:02, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The people I informed are some of the more active members of the Avatar Wikiproject. I don't know how they'll vote, but I thought it best to inform them of this important decision. Y BCZ 03:09, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, laudable goal, but you could have done it more neutrally. Like putting it on the Wikiproject's noticeboard. Or bring it up on the article's talk page. However, seeking out individual people is frowned upon in AfD discussions. FrozenPurpleCube 05:35, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Anyway, I'm sorry if I've offended you with my comments, but I am trying not to attack you. I am, however, concerned about your approach, which you yourself have described as aggressive. I don't think that was necessary, and you could have avoided a lot of hassle by taking a different tack on things. For example, instead of proposing the articles for deletion, you could have made reverted the changes, and made redirects. This would have been simple, and you could have politely informed User:Zach111493 why you did it and suggested that he bring up the issue on the talk page of the current main article. I believe this would have been more effective in accomplishing your goal of a speedy resolution to this problem, instead of going to AfD which means it'll be around for a few days now. That might have taken five minutes all told, or less.
  • Now personally, I think there is some merit to the idea that television series might well be better served by being broken up by season (though I recognize that this is the rarity not the rule), but whether or not that is a good idea doesn't mean you'll suffer anything based on whatever is eventually done.
  • In any case, I do think it would be helpful if you examined WP:AGF, WP:BITE, and WP:Civil and gave them some thought. I do think you've gotten a tad too upset over this action, which while I agree was ill-advised, I do not feel was anything close to offensive. Clumsy mistake, sure, vandalism? Not even close. Zuko: fickle[edit]

I made this addition to ZUko's article in which I described him as fickle, which in my opinion perfectly describes him. Yet it got removed. I wonder why? For starters, Zuko is the kind of person that belives he all the time things should be done his way, even despite better judgement. He doesn't care about whatever is in front of himself in his quest for the Avatar and perhaps proving to his father that he is above Azula and therefore should inherit the throne. This obsession with doing things his way might've gotten him and those around him killed, were it not for his uncle that got them out of the whatever bad place they were into. So please tell me, how was my addition completely biased and point of view? Zuko betrayed his nation in multiple occassions, betrayed his uncle (his only living relative that cares for him), almost lead to his/crew death on the storm, was kind enough to steal from a girl that had previously taken him under her roof, is uncomfortable with adapting to his humble life therefore resorting to theft. The fact is, that Zuko is still alive on his self-destructive path solely thanks to his Uncle's patience, which has run thin at least once (Bison incident). He stood there to correct him, to advice him. If not for him, Zuko would've turned into a Captain Ahab. Also, let us not forget Zuko's underlying inferiority complex, which is the driving factor to Zuko's over abrasiveness. He constantly needs to prove that he isn't worthless, that he isn't inferior to Azula (person which Zuko has placed on a pedestal, even coming near to tears when he was incapable of dominating the Lightning deflection to prepare himself against her, or when he captured Aang in the North Pole compares Aang to her sister). So please allow my paragraph to stay, or at least just add to his personality that Zuko is infact a very fickle being, therefore not really reliable. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 190.57.0.223 (talk) 02:18, 12 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

For one thing, that's not a very neutral paragraph...for another, all that information is already in the article, so it's kinda redundant. Y BCZ 02:38, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aang[edit]

Hello, I noticed your revert of my (67.172.125.13) edit to Aang and I was wondering why. (67.172.125.13 is my IP) Teak the Kiwi 04:03, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty simple...there was an argument going on over whether the info should be included or not. It's settled now, I think. Y BCZ 06:12, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have undone your recent edits to this page. The amount of detail you added is not needed. Drake Clawfang 20:32, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. It may be unsourced, but so is quite a bit of stuff on these pages- don't immediately claim something isn't true, go and try to find it before jumping to conclusions. I provided a source. Y BCZ 22:47, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Go readd it to Syrus Truesdale, then. JuJube 22:50, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Spoiler[edit]

You're partially right on the definition of a spoiler. However, between YouTube and other media files, along with the many sites that offer episode guides, it's become the convention for spoilers to be placed before up-coming Jap info that hasn't aired in Eng. Odds are that most people have seen the aired episodes and thus it won't be spoilers.

And thank you for talking to me before editting, I hate edit wars too, no one needs the hassle and it usually solves nothing. Drake Clawfang 00:58, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
