College Sports popularity in Toledo, OH[edit]

Salve, Yassie! I responded to your comment which you left on my talk page. I took the liberty of reprinting your comment with my response at Talk:Toledo, Ohio. -- SwissCelt 15:55, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from an Indian wikipedian. I saw you on this page, and just felt like saying you a hello. Let us sometimes exchange our wiki-experience to build the best global encyclopedia. --Bhadani 07:35, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Ajo, Arizona photos[edit]

There's now an area on WikiProject Arizona for requests. Maybe you'll want to copy the request from the talk page to the main project page. It would probably have higher visibility on the project page. I'd do it myself except that I'm about a 2.5 hour drive from Ajo, which is well outside how far I will drive to take Wiki photos. Panchitavilletalk 20:27, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your info, I copied my request onto the main project page. --Yassie 15:09, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images from city-data.com[edit]

Please see here. Every pages for cities have that notice. This tells pictures in city-data.com are usable in any form of media. Yassie 03:12, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. It says that city-data.com can use the pictures in any form of media. It does not say anything about what anyone else can do with those pictures. --Carnildo 03:41, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Purdue bell tower photo[edit]

I was wondering what purpose it served for you to change the file name to Purdue BellTowerTimeCapsule.jpg, and then reupload the photo that already existed on wikipedia.Barcode 15:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The purpose is quite simple - I do this to upload images onto commons and use it on Japanese Wikipedia. Yassie 03:40, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio[edit]

What exactly is a copyvio image? --Eman1114

Image:Alphamap.gif KC Map Image[edit]

I have made an update to the image: Image:Alphamap.gif to correct route numbering in downtown Kansas City and it needs to be updated in the commons as I can't seem to upload there. My account on commons is a newbie level and is restricted from uploading the new version there. Can you help me fix this problem? Sawblade05 04:43, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have uploaded the new one onto commons, thus the image has been updated. You don't need to delete the image to update. Just upload updated image and save it, and new image will override old one. Yassie 13:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the word DELETE[edit]

is being posted by you (I think by you) at several images of mine - Image:FochVictoryMemorialKC.jpg and Image:PershingVictoryMemorialKC.jpg and perhaps more and I am wondering why ? Carptrash 23:44, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Those images have no problems. Simply because I uploaded your images onto Wikimedia Commons. Images on enwp will be speedy-deleted as duplicate. Please see 8. Images available as bit-for-bit identical copies on the Wikimedia Commons in Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#Images/media for details. Yassie 23:50, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explaination. I was not too concerned, just curious. I've never quite understood wikicommons - and probably never will. Carptrash 14:11, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Grand Rapids, MI Page[edit]

Yassie...this is an Image I took with my own camera on my own time and I release this image and all its copyrighted privileges. I understand that the previous Image I was posting was copyrighted and for that I am sorry...but this one is not. Please discuss on here before you once again attempt to remove my image. ---Eman1114

So? I self-reverted and resumed the image. By the way, you are telling you have uploaded previous copyvio images onto commons with the account Grguy2011. That was cross-wiki sock puppetry. Don't do it again. Yassie 21:12, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Thank you for updating the population estimate for Shreveport, Louisiana. In the future, could you please also update the date you accessed your source, and leave an edit summary. Without those, your edit looks like just another vandal changing population data. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:11, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In the future, could you please check the content of the edit before regarding mine as another vandal? Thanks. Yassie (talk) 23:16, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please make your edits correct when you add them, and use an edit summary so other editors aren't scratching their heads and needlessly reverting your sloppy edits. Thank you again. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:33, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually that part is what you have forgotten to fix along with this edit, which caused discrepancy in number of population between in InfoBox and in Demographics section. So I fixed it. But you regarded my fix as "another vandal" and now call it "sloppy", merely because I didn't write tiny summary. This is nothing but personal attack. Stop doing that. Thanks again. Yassie (talk) 01:37, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My apology. Hey, help me out. I came across two similar edits this evening. This edit changed climate data, provided no edit summary, and used a source showing an access date of March 2016. This edit changed population data, provided no edit summary, and used a source showing an access date of July 2016. Which the good-faith editor? Magnolia677 (talk) 03:09, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Of course the latter one. It is obvious if you really check the contents of edit, not merely tiny summary. Yassie (talk) 03:14, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
