You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mythbusters. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. DP76764 (Talk) 05:50, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring at MythBusters[edit]

Hello, I noticed you are currently engaged in an edit war at MythBusters (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) following a report at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring. You stated the reason for your reversions in one of your edit summaries:

There is nothing to discuss. Wikipedia policy states than no un-sourced statements should be added to an article. If you want to revert, feel free to add your sources. Otherwise, take it up with Jimbo

This is incorrect, policy does not say that. This is why other editors are reverting you.

You have continued to revert even after being warned to stop. Typically this would result in a short block of your account to prevent further disruption. However, because you are clearly a new user I an asking you to respect the model of consensus editing and to cease edit warring. If you do revert again then I will have no choice but to temporarily block your account. CIreland (talk) 06:08, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(EC)In addition, this [1] is quite uncivil. Wikipedia editors seem to be bending over backwards to try and explain to you why your edits are being reverted. Please stop edit warring and discuss the changes. Dayewalker (talk) 06:20, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule at MythBusters. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. CIreland (talk) 06:19, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
