April 2021

Information icon Hello, I'm Padgriffin. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of [[Special:Contributions/YehWolf|your recent contributions]]—specifically this edit to Crime fiction—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Padgriffin (talk) 07:48, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Pretty sure you've made a mistake as I reverted an edit that is not constructive and you reverted my rollback. YehWolf [🐺] 07:51, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Crime fiction. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Padgriffin (talk) 07:50, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Please double-check before warning me. Thanks YehWolf [🐺] 07:52, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Lightsum and infobox korean name usage

Hi YehWolf, would like to inform you that the usage of infobox korean name is for native name only. Native name would means that the names is not an direct translation otherwise they should be included in the lead section. For lightsum, it is the same as Aespa hence it should only be in lead section. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 04:36, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

So you mean RR and MR cannot be included in the infobox? YehWolf [🐺 🍒] 04:42, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
@YehWolf: As in for Lightsum case, the translation is the same in which they are pronounce the same. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 04:44, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
Paper9oll, Can you explain in detail, I'm new and I don't quite know when and when not to include RR and MR into the infobox. Thank you. YehWolf [🐺 🍒] 04:53, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
@YehWolf: Ok, take Aespa (pronounced as S-pa) as example, their RR is eseupa which is pronounce as S-seu-pa which is around the same. And now take Girls' Generation as example, their RR is Sonyeo Sidae which is not the same pronunciation hence for Girls' Generation case, having Infobox korean name is acceptable and basically needed. Same for Blackpink (pronounced as Black-Pink, pretty obvious), their RR is beullaegpingkeu which is pronounce as black-pink-ke, hence they are same "category" as Aespa.
So to sum up, only use infobox korean name if the native name is pronounce 100% differently from their English name. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 05:07, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
Paper9oll, Got it, like (G)I-DLE, which is pronounced as (여자)아이들, so its included in the infobox. Good thing I can read hangul. Understood. Thank you and have a good day! YehWolf [🐺 🍒] 05:15, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi YehWolf. After reviewing your request, I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2021-07-26. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Seddon talk 11:35, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
