Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your edits to the Yolo County Arts Council page. Due to your account name, I realize you are probably either an employee or volunteer for the council and as such you might have a conflict of interest in the page. That doesn't mean you cannot edit it, but I just wanted to let you know a few things.

  1. Content added must be cited. We ask that all content added to Wikipedia be referenced to a reliable source so that other can verify its accuracy. We also prefer that citations be given from sources that are independent of the subject (news articles, etc.) that are either online or in print. Feel free to reference the council's website on occasion, but I wouldn't make it completely dependent on that alone.
  2. Wikipedia is not a directory. (See WP:NOTDIR) Not all information about a business/organization needs to be added to its Wikipedia page.
  3. Wikipedia articles must have a neutral point of view. (WP:NPOV) Wikipedia isn't here to support or disparage any entity but rather to provide in a neutral manner information that other (reliable) sources have published.

To that end, I'm reverting the changes you've made to the article. It was massive information overload (not all encyclopedic information) and none of it was cited. Hope that info above helps and let me know if you need any clarification. Killiondude (talk) 00:32, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, I've deleted the images you uploaded to Wikimedia Commons as they are not free (Commons only hosts files that are freely licenced). They should be uploaded to the English Wikipedia under a fair use rationale (choose the fair use option in the upload process). Killiondude (talk) 00:37, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, YoloArts, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
