A tag has been placed on OnlineIdols, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Wikipedia is not for promoting new websites. It appears this one has a long way to go before it meets our standards per Wikipedia:Notability (web). -- Fan-1967 19:58, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What you should do[edit]

You should just let the articles be deleted, and not create them again.

Wikipedia is not for promoting new companies and websites. Fan-1967 23:08, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Or you should find some citable reference for the notability of this company/website. If sufficient notability is asserted then the article will be just fine. Budgiekiller 23:10, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the following links if they can count for reliable source.

http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/061030/20061030005865.html

No. It's a press release from OnlineIdols.

http://www.redorbit.com/news/technology/712617/onlineidolscom_a_global_online_stage_debuts/index.html

No. It's another copy of the same press release from OnlineIdols.

http://www.uexpress.com/oncomputers/?uc_full_date=20061210

No. It's a blog, and a trivial mention, one sentence about eight paragraphs down.

Another blog.

http://www.oncomp.com/dec06-2.htm

The same blog as at uexpress.com, with the same trivial mention way down in the article.

http://news.bostonherald.com/blogs/onlineLiving/?p=268

Another blog.

If they are not reliable, could you tell me what is a reliable source? and how i can get one? thanks!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Yuguwho (talkcontribs)

Please read Wikipedia:Reliable Sources. Recognized newspapers or news sites, in the news section. Anything that contains "blog" anywhere in the title does not qualify. Fan-1967 23:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You must use suitable citations to ensure your edits are reliable, the policy can be found here. Cheers! Budgiekiller 23:47, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than repeat all the stuff above, let's keep it brief: Still spam, still being deleted. Fan-1967 00:24, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WOW!!!! ONE WHOLE ARTICLE!!! GEE!!! THIS MUST BE THE BIGGEST THING SINCE MEN WALKED ON THE MOON!!!!!!
It's still an ad. Fan-1967 00:36, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry, that was rude. However, the notability standards still require multiple (i.e. many) non-trivial reports, and this one still reads like an ad. Fan-1967 00:38, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not resubmit this article. If you disagree with its deletion, you may request a deletion review. -- Merope 01:14, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
