Proposed deletion of 2024 Karanpur Assembly constituency election[edit]

The article 2024 Karanpur Assembly constituency election has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There shouldn't be a separate article for an adjourned election for 1 seat. Election to this constituency was postponed due to death of the candidate. This election is a part of 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election, not a separate election. There are many elections that have multiple polling dates, and separate articles shouldn't be made for them. Similar circumstance had happened at 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election and 2023 Meghalaya Legislative Assembly election, and in both cases the election of the postponed constituency was added to the main article. Election Commission of India also considers such postponed election as part of the main election, and not a bypoll. See 1 2.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. @Yuthtuth22 You don't have to move the page to the draft. You can ask for speedy deletion of the article as the author under WP:G7.
