help request[edit]

Hi everyone,  we cooperate with the company named ZSSK (Link : https://www.zssk.sk/en/) in Slovakia for the main purpose - manage the actual information about the company and upgrade the data, which can help the customers and the habitant as well for the project or for their own knowledge.  I had tried to change and update the newest data and information about the ZSSK profile in the English version. Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%BDelezni%C4%8Dn%C3%A1_spolo%C4%8Dnos%C5%A5_Slovensko  I had tried to give after every paragraph citation with the source. I found out that you recommend "Avoid embedded links". Unfortunately, mandatory of our sources are web links. Do you mind giving me advice and showing examples of how to make it correctly?

Wikipedia primarily summarizes what independent reliable sources state, not what a subject wants to say about itself or what it considers to be its own history. Wikipedia articles should be written by independent editors who summarise what independent RS say about the company. Lavalizard101 (talk) 14:35, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You will also need to choose a differnt username as usernames cannot be those of companies and must select one person to operate this account as accounts cannot be shared. Lavalizard101 (talk) 14:35, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict)

You also posted this in IRC channel #wikipedia-en-help but did not respond there. Let me repost what I said here so that you can find it later:
There are a number of problems here. One that I'd like to deal with first is that your username "ZSSK general" appears to be a 'role' account, in violation of our username policy. I do see that you have disclosed your connection with the company, so that part is good, But I think you will need to change the name itself.

I see that you made a number of changes before making the disclosure and that these changes have generally been reverted. In future, you are asked to use the {{edit request}} template on the talk page of the article to suggest the changes you want made - you should refrain from editing the article directly.

While this article has been around for more than a decade, in its current form it would be unlikely to pass review as a draft because it lacks independent sources that establish notability. Your edits seem to be basing the new content entirely on the company's own website or other primary sources, and that will be seen as problematic.

The way to turn a web link into a citation is to use the {{cite web}} template. But if you are unsure how to do that, just leave the web link bare in your edit request and the editor who handles it can do the necessary modification to make it work correctly.
One more note: information in the infobox should ideally be added first, with footnotes, to the body of the article. Then, the infobox is not cluttered with footnotes. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 14:43, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It appears that you have made your edit requests here while logged off and without addressing your block. While you did follow most of the instructions for edit requests, these edit requests may or may not be acted upon since they seem to rely only on primary sources or on using Wikipedia itself as a source — and requests from still-blocked users are generally not acted upon. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 16:45, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

October 2021[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 15:02, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
