Please don't try and advertise[edit]

Greetings, saw your edits to tafsir and wanted to note that Wikipedia is not a forum for advertising, including other information websites. If you feel your site, or some other site, is a useful adjunct to a given article, you can add it in the "External links" section, but a full paragraph praising a site in a subjective manner really doesn't work. List of 500[edit]

Could you please stop adding the list of 500 influential people? It has been compiled by two institutions, neither of which have articles themselves on Wikipedia and therefore it is fairly safe to assume that their list is not notable. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 05:22, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you really think that the list is notable enough to warrant a mention, please explain why you think so. You can reply here on your talk page, since that's a centralized location. —C.Fred (talk) 04:04, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
