Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, ZenaDC-Logal. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:Opt IN USA, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID). Thank you. General Ization Talk 21:45, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I assume, by the way, that you are "attorney Zena Crenshaw-Logal" as referred to in your draft. May I suggest that you consider, in addition to your obvious potential conflict of interest discussed above, communicating with other editors in conventional English, instead of the legalese you have been employing in your discussions so far? (E.g.: [1],[2],[3],[4].) In addition to the probability that it will be more productive in the long run, the fact that you are an attorney speaking legalese to other editors means that I must advise you that no legal threats are permitted on Wikipedia. Also please see WP:BATTLEGROUND; we try to work collaboratively here, and you will find that your taking a similar approach will work much better than insults and complaints about established and documented policies that you apparently do not yet understand. Thanks. General Ization Talk 21:53, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
