July 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, Zeno491, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Versailleslover123 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Celia Homeford (talk) 08:25, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Celia, I'm genuinely not running multiple accounts on Wikipedia and am rather concerned about this suggestion. I am relatively new to Wikipedia as an editor, though not as a user. If I have done something incorrect I'm happy to learn from my mistake. I am not sure how exactly to show I'm not connected to the Versailles guy except to say that most of his edits are of Nineteenth Century figures whereas none of mine are. I'd like to know what I should do from here on Zeno491 (talk) 12:03, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Judging from your reply, there is no need do anything because the other account is unrelated. Celia Homeford (talk) 15:01, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Claims in infoboxes[edit]

Hi Zeno491, I noticed that you've been adding information to infoboxes, but I can't find any citations to sources or (in most cases) article content to back up your edits. On Wikipedia, all content should be supported by reliable, secondary sources, and infoboxes are no exception. Ultimately, infoboxes are just tables of important verifiable content from the article. If the article doesn't already include veneration details, and if those details aren't cited, then it really shouldn't be added to an infobox. Woodroar (talk) 19:18, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh I clearly have got confused about the way that infoboxes are supposed to be organised. In my defence from my experience these infoboxes don't include this kind of information. However since I have now learned the correct way to operate I shall endeavour to follow these procedures from here on. Zeno491 (talk) 21:51, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No worries at all! Wikipedia has a lot of policies and guidelines and we can't expect you to know them all right away! Woodroar (talk) 22:52, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well thanks all the same. I appreciate the kindness within your constructive criticism instead of condemnation. I will go back over my edits, when I can in the next couple of days, to fix any similar mistakes and ensure that I have references or have provided data in the main body of the text.
