International response to Hurricane Katrina

"Poor countries such as El Salvador, Argentina, and Sri Lanka offered help to the USA. It is also noteworthy that countries which have bad relation with United States also proposed help: Cuba and Venezuela. US Citizens may not be aware of this due to poor information by mainstream media outlets."

I’ve worked on International response to Hurricane Katrina, precisely because it provides information about the international community that might otherwise get lost. I was the one who included El Salvador, Sri Lanka, Cuba and Venezuela. But when a paragraph like this is included (which is clearly Point of View) the whole article risks deletion. That’s why I removed it. Try to incorporate that information (in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines of course) in a more relevant article, such as Political effects of Hurricane Katrina or Media bias in the United States. Grammar 101

It might be arguably grammatically correct to say "The White Sox is a major league team" but that is incorrect usage in America. Team nicknames are always treated as a plural subject, even when the nickname is a singular word. For example, "The Minnesota Wild have defeated the Detroit Red Wings." The British take it a step farther. They might say "Chicago have won the World Series", whereas Americans would say "Chicago has won". In America, the city is singular and the nickname is plural. You could only say "is" if the sentence is worded as "'The Chicago White Sox' is the name of a major league baseball team," which sounds about as weird as saying "The White Sox is..." Rusty and Eddie

Can you please try grabbing screens that better resemble the moment of death for Rusty Millio and Eddie Pietro. By this I mean when the bullet is seen ricocheting the window and going into Eddie. Where you can actually see his blood going into the air. You'd have to grab the scene of his execution, the current screens are quite non-explanatory of the scene. They are just sitting in the car. My prefered solution is to simply leave it at Harlem, because the Harlem article exists and readers can find out more there. I can see that that might be US-centric (in the case of an American article). "New York City" alone might also be preferable to "Harlem, ..., USA". 2007 New York Mets season

Hello. I mean no disrespect, but I have a question about some of the edits you have made to this article. The question is regarding the titles of the headings on the sections of these articles. If you look at the other 29 articles, you will see that the headings are listed as "Regular Season", "Season Standings", and "Player Stats", with the blue letters being capitalized in all of them (see the 2007 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim season article for example. Is there any reason why, in the 2007 New York Mets season article you had the above blue letters not capitalized? Again, I'm just looking for a little clarification on this. Alright. I have looked at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings) and do agree with you. I reverted those edits on 2007 New York Mets season because the other seasons had the headings capitalized so I thought we should try to keep it balanced, but that was before I read the policy. Later today, I will try to make those changes on the other articles to lower-case the headings. But now, I have another couple questions. Villages as Political Subdivisions of Suffolk County

See the Template:Westchester_County,_New_York, Orange County, NY and also most of the County Templates in New Jersey.

Also, the Administrative Divisions of New York page states this:

"Villages often cross other political boundaries. More than 70 villages are located in two or more towns. Seven villages are divided between two counties. The village of Saranac Lake is in three towns and two counties.

If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:39, 21 August 2007 (UTC). It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
