Request for help on Wikipedia page creation

Hi, thanks for reviewing the Bytedance Wikipedia Page submission. I've noted your feedback and will make the recommended changes. However, the page has been rejected a few times due to notability issues, which you've also pointed out. I've made several revisions and submissions but it still isn't being accepted. I'd really appreciate any specific feedback you could provide as to how the draft can be improved so that it meets Wiki's community guidelines.

Thanks in advance! @Jt1234:

@SwisterTwister:, ST should be able to give you a few more pointers and make it easier to understand, rather than myself. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 20:45, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Jt1234 Hello; looking in, I can say the sources are still not significant yet and it would help by starting only the best ones in major independent news coverage, and not anything primarily based in announcements or notices, even if published by a major entity, since we wouldn't count that in. Hello, I have made improvements to the NPOV of this rejected article. If there are more areas you feel are not neutral, can you please point them out before I resubmit? Thank you!

Hi Zppix,

You have marked the Skidmore Group page with reading as an advertisement. Can you please tell me which section display's advertising, so I can make the changes.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jessymacdonald (talkcontribs) 15:46, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

11:55:52, 15 August 2017 review of submission by JosidRidolfo

Hi,

I'm writing about an article that I had submitted for review, but that had been rejected due to lack of notability. The article in question is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Vision_Hope_International

I have a few questions:

1. The article in question was rejected due to lack of notability, but it seems like the reviewers didn't/don't speak German, and most of the secondary sources about the subject are in German. How can I find German-speakers who are willing to look at the news items and determine whether they adhere to Wikipedia's rules regarding notability?

2. If a German-speaking reviewer looks at the secondary sources and determine that they are *not* press releases and that they meet Wikipedia's standards for notability, can the article be approved as-is? Or will it still require edits before final acceptance?

3. In trying to learn more about notability, I looked at other NGOs that are similar to the subject of the article in question. However, I quickly became confused about notability because these other articles in Wikipedia seem to run afoul of notability standards. These are:

A. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBM_(charity) << No independent references

B. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kindernothilfe << No independent media sources (i.e., no secondary sources)

C. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PartnerAid << Only references the NGO's 2011 Annual Report (i.e., no secondary sources, no unbiased sources)

Please note that my argument here is *not* "these other NGOs exist and have Wikipedia pages, and so the subject in question deserves its own." That is, my argument is not trying to use the existence of other articles to justify the validity of this submission. Rather, my argument is this: "these other NGOs seem to fail the notability test in their pages, but they were approved. However, I've tried to ensure that this submission meets notability standards, but it has been rejected for notability. How can I make this page meet the standards, especially given that most secondary sources are in German?"

Thanks so much,

Hi Zppix,

You have tagged my companies wikipedia page as advertising. I personally can't see where that is occurring, could you help me and point that out?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jessymacdonald (talkcontribs) 15:48, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
