R22 Regulation[edit]

Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (VFSTR) has established a comprehensive set of academic regulations under the R22 framework, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020. These regulations aim to revolutionize the B.Tech program by emphasizing continuous learning and assessment over traditional high-stakes exams. The R22 regulations introduce a flexible, multidisciplinary approach to education, offering students various exit and entry options throughout their education journey, such as lateral entries, dual degrees, and honorable exit options. The framework fosters a holistic educational experience by integrating a broad curriculum that spans engineering, sciences, and humanities with a strong focus on industry interaction and practical skills. Key features include binary graded courses on life skills and physical fitness, a choice-based credit system allowing students to tailor their educational paths, and comprehensive assessment strategies that prioritize continuous feedback over periodic testing. These initiatives aim to cultivate critical thinking, innovation, and practical problem-solving skills among students, preparing them for successful careers and meaningful societal contributions.[3]
