Doctor Who (season 2)[edit]
The second season of British science fiction television programme Doctor Who was originally broadcast on BBC1 between 1964 and 1965. The season began on 31 October 1964 with Planet of Giants and ended with The Time Meddler on 24 July 1965. It continued to star William Hartnell as the first incarnation of the Doctor, an alien who travels through time and space in his TARDIS, which appears to be a British police box on the outside. Carole Ann Ford continued her role as the Doctor's granddaughter Susan Foreman, who acts as his companion alongside her schoolteachers Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, portrayed by William Russell and Jacqueline Hill, respectively. Ford departed the series in The Dalek Invasion of Earth, replaced by Maureen O'Brien as Vicki in the following story, and Russell and Hill departed in The Chase, replaced by Peter Purves as Steven Taylor.
Throughout the season, the Doctor and his companions travel throughout history and into the future. Producer Verity Lambert worked with story editors to keep the show feeling fresh, attempting new avenues such as humorous and pseudo-historical content. Viewership for the season was considered strong, and the first episode of The Web Planet reached a series-high of 13.5 million viewers. The season received generally positive reviews, with praise directed at the scripts and performances, particularly Hartnell and Hill, though some stories and special effects were criticised; the final scenes of Ford, Russell, and Hill received particular praise for their emotional impact. Several episodes were erased by the BBC between 1967 and 1969, though most were eventually recovered; of a total 39 episodes, only two episodes of The Crusade remain missing. The serials received several VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray releases as well as tie-in novels.

This proposed topic covers the entire second season of the popular science fiction programme Doctor Who, including the season article itself. I started working on these a little more than three years ago, in January 2020; at the time, all articles were C-class (excluding one GA). I took some major breaks in editing—two articles in September 2020, followed by five more in December 2021, one in January 2022, and the season article in September 2022. We now have ten GAs, and I believe the topic effectively meets the criteria. Green Line Extension[edit]
The Green Line Extension (GLX) was a construction project to extend the light rail Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Green Line northwest into Somerville and Medford, two inner suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. The project opened in two phases in 2022 at a total cost of $2.28 billion. Total ridership on the 4.3-mile (6.9 km) extension is estimated to reach 45,000 one-way trips per day in 2030.

- @Bryanrutherford0 I've now created Category:Green Line Extension. Because Mystic Valley Parkway is only proposed at this point, I don't think it's necessary to include it in the topic for a project that's otherwise been completed. If you/others think it's necessary, I would be willing to expand it and take it to per review. (General consensus seems to be that railway station articles shouldn't go to GA at least until design is finalized and they're actively under construction.) Commentsfix MOS:CAPS issues with refs capitalizing full words, remove Wikimedia Commons per Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a reliable source, ref 16 on Union Square is missing a work/publisher, are you sure Patch is reliable and why are bullet points used in the first section of Green Line Extension? If these are fixed I fully support;this topic is complete without Mystic Valley Parkway station since that has only been proposed, the articles are heavily detailed and congratulations on finding so many suitable pictures! --K.
