1987 Pacific hurricane season[edit]

Contributor(s): Yellow Evan (talk · contribs)

This such project was my mangus opus of 2011. But, it all really started years ago. In my head, I have something called a brain. My brain generates ideas, and when I joined what ended up being a historic run in the 2011 cup, I planned on getting this to GA. I nomed the season for GAN, but it got removed within hours. But after expanding it further and realizing 2 storms could have article, I wrote them and nomed the season article for GA. the season itself was terrific, all of you young EPAC fans out there would have dreamed to see such season. Eugene hit July at a weird time, and then the next month, Peke bailing out Hawaii yet again while becoming the first storm to threaten the island since the great Hurricane Estelle of the less active 1986 PHS. Then, BOOM, there was Hurricane Max, which really was a Cat 5, stunning the whole EPAC world. Then, there was Hurricane Ramon, which did unprecedented rain to California and was almost as intense as Max. Oh wait, I forgot, no once cares about the EPAC. You know what that means? It's time for me to click save page. Hope you like this topic. YE Pacific Hurricane 03:51, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Complete topic. Seems as though no other storms warrant separate articles. Adabow (talk) 04:59, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thanks for the support. Yea, it's a bit unfortunate that few storms this time period warrant articles, but that's the way it goes. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:24, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I copyedited the main article, but there still needs work. I don't think the season article would pass GAN if it was up today. Check for unit consistency, for starters. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:57, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delegate Comment - This GTC is gonna need some more discussion as there hasn't been any discussion is almost three weeks. GamerPro64 22:06, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Really needs more discussion in this one. GamerPro64 03:56, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Good job YE. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:01, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment There are a few deadlinks in the articles. See book report. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 01:42, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment As Hurricanehink stated, watch for unit consistency on the main article. (i.e. change "708 mi (1,139 km)" to "710 mi (1,140 km)") Yes, I didn't mention it during the GAN (which I reviewed), but I want you to fix them now. If you can do that, I will support this nomination.--12george1 (talk) 21:46, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • They are consistent though. Just not rounded to the nearest 5. Anyhow changed :P YE Pacific Hurricane 05:27, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
