This summer, students across MIT SAP, led by MIT Libraries’ Kai Smith, have been developing the "BIPOC Design Archive Project," a website of Black, Indigenous, People of Color designers in the built environment. As part of the public launch of this project, from August 17-21, MIT Libraries and students from MIT DUSP and MIT Architecture will host the "BIPOC Design Virtual Wikipedia Edit-a-thon.” During this weeklong series of virtual events, participants will create new pages and edit existing ones for Black, Indigenous, People of Color designers in the built environment. No experience editing wikipedia is necessary to attend and participate.
