How can I put a right square bracket inside an external link and have it show correctly?[edit]

I have tried many ways of escaping and unicode (mostly in preview), but all have failed. My first attempt was with this edit, the result of which looks horrible. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:40, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeff G.: I'm not aware of any right bracket escape character unfortunately. You can do it with the following workaround through. Use %5D as the character in the URL and then <nowiki> tags around the ] character in the name section. So www.google].com renders as www.google].com --Majora (talk) 03:50, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary suggestions[edit]

Until recently edit summary boxes showed suggestions based on my previous edit summaries as a drop down menu. This function has stopped for me, and I'm having to type from scratch every time, which is time-consuming for summaries that I use frequently. The new summaries aren't being remembered either. Is this a general problem? If not, it may be that I have inadvertently changed a setting that has stopped this function, but I can't see where I've done so. Any ideas? Edit summaries are remembered by your browser. It's not affected by Wikipedia preferences but might be affected by privacy settings in your browser. It works for me in Firefox but the edit summary box did change in mid February. Maybe it interacts differently with some browsers. PrimeHunter (talk) 10:56, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unable to change the subject line in Wiki[edit]

Hello Sir/Madam,

After repetitive changing the text in Wiki, Its not reflecting the new change. I just wanted to the text "Aricent is a pure-play product engineering service firm. It develops software, provides technology services, and works with networking, telecom, software, semiconductor, Internet, and industrial companies"

It should be "Aricent is a global design and engineering company innovating for the digital era. With more than 12,000 talented designers and engineers and over 25 years of experience, we help the world's leading companies solve their most important business and technology innovation challenges - from Customer to Chip."

Please do the needful.

Could someone please read my draft or explain me how to move it?[edit]

The other option - to move the draft from the sandbox to the public - doesn't work, because the "more"-button doesn't exist yet. Thanks for helping me. The way to submit a draft for review is to add {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft. It would, however, be pointless to do that yet with your sandbox draft, because you have no references which are independent of the subject. creating a page for a company[edit]

How do I create a page for a company? Is the user name the same as the page name? I just got a message about the user name I created that it may not be allowed, but I'm confused on how to create a Wikipedia page for a company. @Boosalis Properties: You've already been blocked, so I'm not sure if you'll see this. First off, your user name should not be the name of a company. Assuming you are wanting to write an article for the company you work for, you should not write an article about it yourself because you have a conflict of interest. Read the guidelines that a company should meet to have an article, and if the company meets those guidelines, the best course of action would be for you to gather any 3rd party reliable sources that exist (those that are about the company but are not written or produced by the company) and post at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Business and economics/Companies. ~ ONUnicorn^{(Talk|Contribs)}problem solving 15:00, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Lenape Indians[edit]

Why are you stating lies as facts. I thought Wiki was truthful or try to be truthful. William Penn was a demon, not a great hero who was kind to the Lenape Indians. The treaties were all false and unjust. The Lenape Indians were either massacred, forced to live in Reservations, or pushed further in desolate lands of no substance. Your portrayal of William Penn and the Lenape Indians is no different than saying slavery were the greatest thing for Africans. And to put it simple, with your false betrayal of history. Hundreds of schools, teachers, prominent historians are making sure every child no longer acknowledge WIKI as real substance. I guess your also saying George Washington was the greatest slave master a black person could ever have. Just sickening that children can not get the real truth, and that is why history continues to repeat itself. as far as sighting sources. Ask a Lenape Indian to read this article and attempt to shake their hand afterwards. I'm sorry you've encountered an article that you feel fails to meet our neutrality policy. William Penn was generally considered to be a human, not a demon. However, if the article about him describes him as a "great hero who was kind to the Lenape Indians" that could indeed represent a violation of our neutral point of view policy. I do not find that exact language in the article about William Penn, though I can see how you might get that impression from the wording used in the first paragraph. However, later in the article it does indicate that "the Penns cheated the Lenape out of their lands in the Lehigh Valley." Concerns about article content like this should be shared on the article's talk page, and if that doesn't garner results, then the NPOV Noticeboard. I am Communications Assistant at Earth Day Canada. Although Earth Day Canada section on Wikipedia is informative, the information about our organization requires necessary updates. We would like the following to be there:

installing Unicode glyphs[edit]

Please, in minute detail, give me step-by-step instructions, in how to set up Windows 10, Firefox 52, and Wikipedia, so that every single Unicode displays its proper glyph.

I HATE having to ask this question. This should work like ASCII—all my programs see an ASCII code, and display the appropriate glyph. I never have to download and install a set of ASCII glyphs. For every Unicode it is asked to display, the OS should find the glyph in the cloud, and display it, without involving me. Nick Beeson (talk) 21:26, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
