Right place to make a request.[edit]

Where is the right place to request an SVG conversion for an image not already on Wikipedia? I feel this flag (https://www.crwflags.com/fotw/images/b/bs_1964.gif), a proposed flag of the Bahamas should be on Wikipedia in SVG format, but it is not. The shield would also be a good addition to the relevant article (Coat of Arms of the Bahamas) as it was actually used and appeared on Bahamian currency.

Recovering my account (2)[edit]

This is And1987. I recently changed my password because the website recommended I do it. However, I can't remember it all. There is no e-mail address associated with my account and I thought there was. Now I have no clue how to log-in. Unfortunately, as covered in Help:Logging in, it seems if you cannot possibly remember the password, the only thing you can do is create a new account. However, you can keep guessing the password as much as you like and your account will not be locked out, so if you have any possibilities for passwords, there's nothing stopping you from trying. exoplanetaryscience (talk) 01:30, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request review of Rubber elasticity/Integrated network models[edit]

I have been editing a new article for the Rubber elasticity page (Integrated network models). My original version was judged (correctly) to be too difficult for non-scientists. Since it is a scientific topic, it may not be possible for everything to be comprehensible to the non-scientist (like molecular entropy) but I hope that it is clear enough for the non-scientist to gain some understanding of what causes rubber elasticity. Since the topic is also of interest to scientists and engineers, I would like to include additional information for them as well. How can I request a review of the current version? One editor said that I should click on a button that says 'submit for review' but I can't seem to find it on any of the pages that I visit. Dear Septrillion, I am quite confused by your comment. In the email that I received, there is a box labeled 'View message'. When I click on it, I am directed to 'WP:HD' and there I find the message 'the references do not adequately show the subject's notability'. Would you mind elaborating? Are you referring to the Wikipedia Page: /Rubber elasticity, or my addition under /models Integrated Network models? Certainly, Rubber elasticity must have been judged as 'notable' since it existed before I made my edit. Network models are the only ones that are actually relevant to the phenomena of rubber elasticity. Before I added my section, there was no discussion of these on the Rubber elasticity page at all. Early versions of network models, which are known to be deficient, are presented in every text book on polymer physics. Do you think that the subject's notability would be better established if I referenced text books and historical papers that address the subject of network models? I apologize if I sound argumentative but I don't understand how to proceed with this. Robert McClenon said that I could request an editor review of the modified article. I was asking how to do this? When Davidhanson471 says he has "edited a new article for ... [a] page", what he has done is in Wikipedia terminology to add a new section to the article Rubber elasticity, with this edit. The material he added was extensive, and included 14 references, eight of them to his own work. The material he has added also exists as Draft:Integrated Rubber Network Models: as so often happens, creating multiple copies of the same content has caused confusion. Since then he has made many further changes. I hope a more experienced editor can have a look at this. (My own inclination would be to remove everything he has done, and ask him to read some Wikipedia policies and then start again, more carefully. But that's probably too severe, what he has written is clear and comprehensible, though not always in the "tone" expected in Wikipedia.) Maproom (talk) 06:39, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • It was apparently accidentally overwritten in 2008. The most recent revision prior to the overwrite is [1]. I don't know enough about the topic to know of this decade-old version is still any good. If you think it OK, please come back here and let me know and I can revert to it if you don't know how. Writing an article over a redirect page[edit]

Help:Cite errors/Cite error ref no input[edit]

In the article "Pompea Smith" there is a huge red comment that says " There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them ". I have referenced everything and still it appears. PDF URL[edit]

Hi all--I've never been able to figure out how to get the actual URL for a PDF that I found using Google: the moment the URL is longer than so many characters, it's abbreviated with an ellipsis and I can't copy and paste. "Copy link location" gives me some link that starts with "google" and is useless for putting in a citation template. Search google for "louwe kooijmans wetland upland exploitation" and it's the top link I'm working on... Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:17, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Drmies, I had the same problem. I now use the "Open link in new tab" option after right clicking on the Google link, and then I copy the link shown in the browser. That's much easier than changing the browser or changing default settings of opening other pdfs in Acrobat. I_0urclc5 01:18, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cowboychris55, the reason it's missing is that the riding in question Pickering—Scarborough East (provincial electoral district) has been abolished. You are now in one of its replacements, either Pickering—Uxbridge (provincial electoral district) or Scarborough—Rouge Park (provincial electoral district), which are listed on the page.
