April 27[edit]

Please repair ref number 23. I did not do this. It is in red. thank you 175.32.219.132 (talk) 00:30, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Done. That was a minor error that had been in the article for about 18 months. As you have been told before, it is not necessary to report such an error here. MB 01:00, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
First, note that at the top of this page, you're told "If you have comments about a specific article, use that article's talk page". Secondly, please read "Bullock family" (in the archives). -- Hoary (talk) 04:29, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Programming Languages[edit]

Did it exist before? What happened to it? Harsh Rathod Poke me! 11:14, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Harshrathod50. It got moved to WP:WikiProject Computer science on 27 September 2011. --ColinFine (talk) 11:24, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide me with links to discussions that made this happen? Harsh Rathod Poke me! 11:59, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps it was the non-discussion (lack of obvious interest) here. -- Hoary (talk) 12:06, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I object this merger. How do I bring WikiProject Programming Languages back? Harsh Rathod Poke me! 13:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's a little late to object to this. But you could create a new wikiproject. Generally you'd need some support to make this happen, and active editors looking to work on the project. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide on how to do this. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:33, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for showing me the path. This is what I was expecting. Harsh Rathod Poke me! 15:19, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello to all,

I've just translated this article but I failed to redirect to the origianl German version which is Hans-Günter Klein (Musikwissenschaftler) [de]

Please can someone help me out? thanks in advance, LouisAlain (talk) 12:00, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The page was interwiki-linked to de:Hans-Günter Klein which is a disambiguation page. I've removed the link and interwiki-linked it to de:Hans-Günter Klein (Musikwissenschaftler). This doesn't show up on the Wikipedia article, it was done on WikiData. JIP | Talk 12:25, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. I couldn't have done it by myself LouisAlain (talk) 12:28, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@JIP and LouisAlain: While the interwiki link is not part of the article, it's at the bottom of the left hand menu under Languages in the link "Deutsch". GoingBatty (talk) 02:42, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

subject: information about a movie film location... Movie is: BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK[edit]

Wrong venue. Please move to Talk:Bad Day at Black Rock

The Wikipedia websites answer to a question that I ask... The question was, "where was the movie "BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK" filming location? The answer given on the Wikipedia website was: At Lone Pine California. That is not accurate. The Actual location is 8 miles west of Palm Springs California just west of Windy Point an SF railroad crossing just below Mt San Jacento south face, and the White Water Canyon of the San Bernardino mountains to the north. Verbena Av cut off to Palm Springs now runs through the area where the town used to be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.181.108.29 (talk) 18:50, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The place for suggestions for improvement of an article is the article's talk page, but you'll need to support your suggestion with a reference to a published reliable source. --David Biddulph (talk) 19:07, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

infobox organization[edit]

Resolved

Hi,

Can anyone help a total novice add an infobox organization to a page (Riders For Health)?

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Two Wheels For Life (talkcontribs) 20:17, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Two Wheels For Life: Here is my recommendation
  1. Go to Template:Infobox organization and copy the blank template.
  2. Edit Riders for Health and paste the tempate at the top under {{short description}}.
  3. Move the File name into the |logo= parameter of the infobox.
  4. Fill in as many other parameters as you wish and delete the rest.
  5. Click Show preview to see what it looks like.
  6. Continue tweaking and previewing until it looks good, and then click Publish changes.

If you need additional assistance, you can ask other interested editors at the article talk page: Talk:Riders for Health. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Track changes[edit]

Good afternoon,

Is it possible to track the changes that were made to someone's wiki page?

V/R — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeodatoL (talkcontribs) 20:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, if you click the "history", you can see who made which changes to any article. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 20:57, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How can I have a draft biography revised?[edit]

Resolved

Hi guys, is it possible to submit a draft biography project for revision by a Wikiproject? Where do I search for Wikiproject by subject, and how would I go about making the submission? Thanks.Neuralia (talk) 20:45, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure of the question here - drafts are generally put through WP:AfC (or moved manually after becoming autoconfirmed). However, the recent draft you have worked on was denied as the subject already appears in the encyclopedia. You can, however, simply update the existing article. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 20:56, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Neuralia: Other options include making a draft version in your user sandbox or another page in your userspace (e.g. User:Neuralia/Jan Kaláb) or posting your ideas on the article talk page (e.g. Talk:Jan Kaláb). Then you could create a post on the WikiProject talk page (e.g. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Visual arts) and ask for help. My suggestion is to take it slowly and not overwhelm your fellow editors with a massive overhaul. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 03:12, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

new article B. Benedict Braddock[edit]

Good afternoon, I created a new article two months ago about author B. Benedict Braddock which has not yet been posted to wikipedia. Can you please tell me why this is? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by HSFC5115 (talkcontribs) 22:01, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

HSFC5115 You created a draft article, but it is not yet formally a part of the encyclopedia. If you were to submit it at this time, it would be rejected quickly, as you offer no independent reliable sources to support the content of the article and indicate how the subject meets the Wikipedia definition of a notable author. I would suggest that you first use the new user tutorial and read Your First Article before submitting your draft for review using Articles for Creation. 331dot (talk) 22:06, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
