2019–2020 Nigeria Professional Football League

My recent article for creation 2019–2020 Nigeria Professional Football League has been accepted but I'm having problems with it;

• I cannot find it on any search engine.
• I'm surprised there are not enough wikilinks to the article.

2019–2020 Nigeria Professional Football League has been moved to 2019–20 Nigeria Professional Football League, but with a redirect from the old title. You'll be able to find it (through either title) in the Wikipedia search engine. It can often take some time for a new article to be indexed by external search engines such as Google, particularly as new articles are NOINDEXed until they have either been reviewed through the new page patrol system or 90 days have expired. You were lucky, & your page was reviewed within a day and a half, rather than waiting anywhere near the 90 day period. After that, it's up to Google how quickly they pick up the page. As far as links to the article are concerned, they don't appear by magic, but there do seem to be quite a number listed at Special:WhatLinksHere/2019–20_Nigeria_Professional_Football_League; if there are further articles which you believe would justifiably link to the new article, you can add the links. --David Biddulph (talk) 00:36, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

How to move an article from draft to public space

You don't. If you somehow did, it would probably be deleted. As it is now, it's in two halves. The first half comes with no references (and, even if its content were somehow verifiable, would confer no notability). The second half is about legal troubles, but doesn't mention any conviction. I doubt that this satisfies WP:BLP. I suggest that you read WP:BLP, and, if you think that an article about this man could satisfy its requirements, improve the draft accordingly. -- Hoary (talk) 03:10, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

how to request that someone write the part of an

article that needs filling in: James Ward Porter is one of the few missing persons listed, but not yet written, in the article "List of African-American officeholders during Reconstruction"

While I am willing to learn how to create the article (or rather, the part of this article needed for the James Ward Porter reference in the article), I may have a conflict of interest, as I am his 4th great granddaughter.

Should I continue editing the stub I've created, or may I had this off to someone better suited to write the article? I am very happy to provide references and background.

@Shiradestinie: our usual advice is to try doing some minor editing on other articles to learn a little about Wikipedia editing. Our usual advice is also to avoid creating an article if you have a COI (WP:COI). But I think I'll make a slightly different set of recommendations in this case. Go ahead and create a user page for yourself and declare you possible conflict of interest. (I do not think it is going to matter much in this case, but it's best to follow the guidelines.) Then, make sure your sources are what we really need (see WP:RS). Then, find an article on a similar subject (e.g., one of the others on that list) whose format looks good to you, and study how that article is constructed. Maybe make a few improvements to that article. Then, go to WP:YFA and follow the instructions there, using your sample article as a guide. You will be working on what we call a "draft", in "draft" space, so feel free to experiment as much as you want. When you feel the article is ready, submit it for review. Please come back here if you have any questions, or place a question on my talk page. Don't give up! This looks like an ideal candidate for a Wikipedia article. -Arch dude (talk) 07:06, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Issue with SFNP usage

I'm a frequent user of Template:Sfnp but can't seem to figure out what the issue is here: Parçikan#Notes. Before creating the article, I had the same content in my sandbox without any red note.[1] If anyone can look at it, I would appreciate it. --Semsûrî (talk) 09:53, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

@Semsûrî: I found and fixed a subtle error after staring at the article text for far too long. These error messages did not show up in your sandbox because {{Broken ref}} is configured to display the errors only in certain namespaces - see H:SHOWCITEERROR for a workaround. -- John of Reading (talk) 10:43, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi IP user - as a community, we stick to a natural point of view. Due to having so many articles, and so many different editors it doesn't always happen. But, as this is a wiki, you have the opportunity to fix things that you see to be unbiased! Bare in mind however, your view of unbiased is unlikely to be the same as that of someone else.

@IP130: I'm going to suggest that you find one of the many places on the internet where people revel in talk about deep state this and Soros that and Q the other thing. This isn't the place for it and you'll have a much easier time preaching to a choir elsewhere. No, there's plenty in George Soros#Conspiracy theories and threats. The word "page" is quite broad, as that also includes templates, talk pages, drafts and everything in between. The main ones are above, but also other types of deletion discussions exist, such as WP:MFD Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski ^{(talk • contribs)} 13:54, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Olympiakos Nicosia

Hi, I need to edit some sections in 'Olympiakos Nicosia' page in wikipedia since the content there is outdated. Since this regards to a football team where the 'current squad' and personnel in the team changes year by year, the information now in the page is very outdated and needs to be changed with the current information I have now. However, since the page is semi-protected, this does not allow me to make changes. Can you help me with that? Using illustration from another wiki

Is it allowed and, if so, how do I link. So, ROundtheworld, it appears that you can use it provided that use meets all the criteria listed in the non-free content criteria. You cannot link to it, you will need to download the image to your computer (or find the original where it was uploaded to pt-wiki from) and then upload it to en-wiki. It is not possible to link to images in a different wiki, except to Wikimedia Commons, which does not accept fair-use images. --ColinFine (talk) 18:54, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Help with date format

Hello. Can you help me change the date format of Lisa del Giocondo back to mdy? I just discovered that "use dmy dates" was added to the article a year ago, which explains efforts by a number of editors to fix the mess. M=month, D=day, Y=year. Maybe I'm calling it by the wrong name? Usually in the U.S., dates are like so: June 18, 2020. But now in this article dates are like so: 15 June 1479. Every date I saw, top to bottom and inside citations, has been changed. Does that help? -SusanLesch (talk) 00:20, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

The {{use mdy dates}} template does not change how dates are rendered in the body of an article. It does change how dates are rendered in the cs1|2 citation templates which should all be in mdy format. There are a bunch of editors who use a script that converts body text dates so that they match the {{use xxx dates}} templates. You might scan the article history to see if you can find the word 'script' in an edit summary and contact that editor so that they can apply the script to Lisa del Giocondo.
