Possible to find out which account created a deleted article?[edit]

When I looked at a deletion discussion of an article, there were no "keep" votes. Is there a record of who the article creator was anywhere? JimKaatFan (talk) 01:32, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@JimKaatFan: Administrators like me can see it and the whole deleted page history. If you click the red link and then "What links here" then you can often find the user talk page of the creator with a notification about the page. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:50, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
JimKaatFan for articles most likely created only a few years ago, you can look into the page creation log. Victor Schmidt (talk) 07:32, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I did something wrong[edit]

I accidentaly made it the "Flag of the Republic of Turke" Instead of the "Flag of the Republic of Turkey" Please help and I tried to fix it and it failed. 2601:681:5981:E540:FC12:1B53:8784:8E9F (talk) 01:43, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • It was reverted. Thanks. Drmies (talk) 01:53, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you have suggestions to improve an article, please post on that article's talk page. Neither of the two listed at Robert_Hargrove died in 2010. RudolfRed (talk) 03:09, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Weight of Volleyball Player Paula Weishoff[edit]

I need your help. Paula Weishoff weight is 165 lbs. And height is 6 ft. 1 in. tall. Can you fix it in American English? Thank you. I want to make sure is right. 100.2.114.167 (talk) 04:06, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article Paula_Weishoff already lists her height. There is some question if the weight should be included. Discuss it on the article's talk page. RudolfRed (talk) 04:11, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For the weight, just remove the curly brackets and template formatting, so it looks like just "weight=165 lbs". The infobox template will add a conversion to kg. The issue is that Template:Weight is a shortcut to our undue weight tag. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 04:12, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How Could I Revive Deleted Article?[edit]

I wanted to revive a deleted article called Jasa Marga, the article was deleted after it was marked for copyright infringement, keep in mind that I am not the original creator of the said article. However, I believe that this article could be beneficial for public as it is Indonesia's state-owned enterprise. But I am still unsure on how to start, could anyone guide me, please? Thank you.

Ghazlan-airplanes (talk) 10:01, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ghazlan-airplanes, per [1] you can start with a WP:REFUND. Or you can start over with a new WP:DRAFT. Your first hurdle is WP:N, and WP:BACKWARD may be of help. Adding references WP-correctly is essential, see WP:TUTORIAL if you're unfamiliar with that. Good luck! Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:27, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ghazlan-airplanes: there are three "attempts" you want to consider here. The first and the second one were both deleted October 23, 2016, one as WP:G11 and the second as WP:G12. The last version was moved to Draft:Jasa Marga and deleted in March last year under WP:G13. Getting the first version undeleted is somewhat unlikely, and the success chance probbably depends on how much can be salvaged from the deleted revisions (not being an admin, I cannot check the deleted revisions to see how much salvageable stuff is in there). Getting the second version undeleted is even unlikier, as copyright is not something anyone takes lightly here. This version could only be undeleted if it could be shown that the deleted text is public domain or compatibly licensed (doesn't seem like it was) or that it was a backwardscopy (doesn't seem like it either). The third one has the best chances of being undeleted on request, it was moved to draft after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jasa Marga. You can ask for it to be undeleted at WP:REFUND/G13. My draft on my Demetre Chiparus double side bronze/patina newel posts[edit]

I do not want to create any hassle just curiosity. Mark Lawson looked at them seriously and claimed that they looked authentic as the older Chip delved in some renaissance etc. in later years which I came across in my 15 years since purchase.I wrote the draft stating that about a half dozen Antique professionals were amazed and made a few offers...I do not know this aspect of my favorite sculptor and only own a Tiffany ivorine face/bronze/alabaster bedside catchall and quite a few very old French pieces that I am lucky to have with the market flooded with replicas! 2603:7080:E000:E816:39B8:C971:4325:BC6B (talk) 14:40, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

At the top of this page is a large notice saying "The Wikipedia help desk is a place where you can ask questions about how to use or edit Wikipedia.". What is your question? Bazza (talk) 16:12, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You talk about a "draft": do you mean a draft for a Wikipedia article? Because it doesn't sound like a suitable topic to me: a Wikipedia article is a summary of reliable independent published material about a subject. Unless your newel posts have been written about reliable publications by people unconnected with you (and with Chiparus), I can't see how they could be relevant to a Wikipedia article. ColinFine (talk) 16:30, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, Wikipedia is not the place for such an article: wee WP:NOT. The ideal place for you do this would be your own blog, perhaps on a site that focuses on antiques, or perhaps Wikibooks. -Arch dude (talk) 17:55, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Adverts[edit]

By Jesus Christ, open up for small and short commercial advertisement as many so called public service tv radio companies does. Do that, it will not destroy your mission, only help out. As they do for public services. Okay? 2A02:AA1:160B:B02:6479:8182:696:3FC8 (talk) 20:40, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia does not need to do this. Why would you want it to happen? Eagleash (talk) 21:09, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, your whole remark is NOT okay. I'm tempted to ask you why Wikipedia should do that--but then I'm pretty sure I don't care to hear any more from you. Uporządnicki (talk) 21:10, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It seems that your ONE "contribution" to Wikipedia has been to use thoroughly inappropriate language to make a thoroughly unneeded (and quite possibly mission-destroying) suggestion about how they should run their business. Uporządnicki (talk) 21:16, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a place for advertising or promoting anything, there are plenty of other sites for that. --StarryNightSky11 23:49, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jesus, being something of a socialist, may not have approved this proposal. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:32, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cannot open templates[edit]

Whenever I try to open a template at the bottom of a page nothing happens. I have tried on multiple computers but have not been able to get it to work. What do I do? Thank you! Woworiginal (talk) 21:13, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Woworiginal. Can you give us an example page to look at? Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 21:21, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It happens on EVERY page with a template. I click "show" and nothing happens. Woworiginal (talk) 21:25, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to hear it. Can you confirm what happens when you open Harlem (poem)? There's a template at the bottom ("Langston Hughes") that is supposed to be expanded by default. How does it originally display, and does clicking "hide"/"show" do anything? Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 21:38, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Woworiginal: When you are asked for an example, please give an example. We have millions of pages and the issue may or may not be on all of them. The missing example meant it took longer but I figured out it's caused by importScript('User:Thespaceface/ImperialFirst.js'); in User:Woworiginal/common.js. User:Thespaceface/ImperialFirst.js hasn't been edited since 2017 and Thespaceface hasn't edited since July 2022. I suggest you remove the script. PrimeHunter (talk) 00:03, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed. Thank you! Woworiginal (talk) 15:42, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
