Similar vandalism from IP from United Arab Emirates[edit]

Hello

Last month we from the WikiProject Handball noticed (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Handball#IP vandalism) that IP's from the United Arab Emirates with the start 2001:8F8:1471:37C1:** made several edits which were vandalism. Mostly the IPs deleted the row in the tables of handball tournaments which says that the 2020 edition was cancelled due to covid. Like: [1]

I left a notice at the talk page of the IP but the IP chanced and the behavior continuous. I have not a lot of knowledge how we could stop this person from further vandalism. Should I report this IP's to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations or what are the further steps? 🤾‍♂️ Malo95 (talk) 08:42, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Malo95. WP:ANV is the appropriate place. ColinFine (talk) 11:10, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Random article button[edit]

I miss the random article button. Where did it go? 2601:602:C900:3EB0:5169:5C12:6655:7997 (talk) 08:59, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's in the menu that you will see when you click the three-horizontal-bar icon, also called a "hamburger", which is to the left of the Wikipedia logo at the top of (all? most?) pages... at least that's where I see it, using the Vector 2022 skin. David10244 (talk) 09:29, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Publish Status[edit]

Hello. How can I know if the article I have created is in the process of being published? I am new on Wikipedia and not sure how it works. I still see "Draft" and no option to publish it.

The article name is "Gulf Data Hub". Fadishwaihat12 (talk) 10:48, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the submit code to your draft Draft:Gulf Data Hub, but be advised it will be declined, as it is just blatant advertising, do you have a conflict of interest by any chance? Theroadislong (talk) 10:53, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please understand that Wikipedia is not interested in what the subject of an article says or wants to say about themselves, or what their associates say about them. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject, and who have not been prompted or fed information on behalf of the subject, have chosen to publish about the subject in reliable sources. ColinFine (talk) 11:11, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fadishwaihat12:The subject of an article must be notable by our definition: See WP:N and specifically WP:CORP. This is the only absolute requirement. Please do not put any more effort into this article until you are sure it is notable, because we will delete it if not, wasting your time and ours. We can help you with any other problems. -Arch dude (talk) 15:51, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Talk Page History[edit]

Is there a way to view your talk page history, to see all your recorded interactions on every one of those pages? Cadevo86 (talk) 17:07, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Cadevo86: Yes. Once you're on User talk:Cadevo86, you can click on "View history" above the header to view all the edits made to your page. If you're talking about your own edits, you can (assuming you're using the default skin) click on the in the top-right corner then "Contributions" from the dropdown menu. If you're looking for specifically edits you made to the Talk namespace, you can click on the "Search for contributions" dropdown and change the Namespace dropdown to "Talk". —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 17:15, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this is what I was looking for. I meant if there was a page that stored your history of interactions on different talk pages from all across Wikipedia. That way, I could find where I made certain comments and what article they were connected to. Cadevo86 (talk) 03:36, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Cadevo86 It might depend on which "skin" you are using. For me, using the new Vector 2022 skin: at my userpage, the "tools" menu near the top has "User Contributions". Clicking this shows me all of my edits, to all pages of all types. If there's a way to filter this, someone will post here and tell us in a bit.  :-) David10244 (talk) 10:26, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Cadevo86 I wondered if by "all of Wikipedia" you meant in the various language versions. However, your global contribution history shows you have only ever edited on en.wikipedia and, indeed, you have only 24 edits since account creation. The record shows that just one was ever made on a Talk Page, on 7 September 2022 (unless some were rev-deleted). I'm therefore unclear what you expect to see. Tenryuu's advice is accurate, as you will see when you have made more edits or if you try the same process on another editors contributions. Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:13, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I meant edits made to talk pages (not necessarily in other languages). Since I only made one (thought I had done more), I guess I hadn't noticed it among the other article edits, and assumed that the user contributions page didn't show talk page interactions. Thank you for the help! Cadevo86 (talk) 13:57, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What should be done about Ahistoricism?[edit]

Hello again, and hope you're doing well. I came across Ahistoricism and wondered what should be done with it. There doesn't seem to be an obvious merge or redirect target...but turning it into a dab also doesn't seem to fit (since I wouldn't know how to retarget the incoming links. Would a soft redirect to Wiktionary work? Thank you in advanced for any input. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 21:07, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Rotideypoc41352: You could try and write it from an encyclopaedic POV, or begin a a deletion discussion. -- StarryNightSky11 01:39, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, let's see how a WP:PROD goes. (I don't know if I have the wherewithal to deal with an AfD.) Thanks for the advice! Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 18:57, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
