FAQ[edit]

Where is the event?

We'll be in the Dream Lab at the Martin Luther King, Jr Library. To get to the Dream Lab, turn left from the front entrance, go through glass doors, then go to the far right presentation space.

What should I bring?

* A laptop
* An interest in DC neighborhoods or editing Wikipedia!

Do I have to register to attend, or can I just arrive on the day?

You don't have to register, but it does help us prepare better.

Where can I find more information?

We also have an event page on the DC Public Library (DCPL) website.

You didn't answer my question!

Feel free to ask on this project's talk page. We welcome suggestions on the development and progress of this meetup.

Results / Outcomes[edit]

Four Wikipedians helped out and socialized. Four complete beginners to Wikipedia made their first (or more) edits. Three novices deepened their understanding of (and edits to) Wikipedia, in part by organizing the event along with one of the Wikipedians. And, we all had fun!

Articles improved[edit]

Two pairs of participants collaborate at My First Edit in the DCPL Dream Lab.

Great work, everyone!
