Wikipedia:Meetup/Guelph/International Women's Day 2020[edit]

This is the Wikipedia edit-a-thon page for the Guelph local chapter of the 500 women scientists meetup for International women's day. The purpose of our event is to improve the representation of women in STEM on Wikipedia which is inspired by Jess Wade's impressive contribution to Wikipedia articles of women in STEM.[1]

What to expect[edit]

Learning to edit Wikipedia is easy and we're here to help you. We're partnering with a librarian from the University of Guelph library to provide a tutorial and to help answer questions. After the tutorial, folks are welcome to edit solo or in groups. We recommend beginners start with editing existing pages or start with a stub page. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Please bring your laptop, a charger and a mug.

Sign in[edit]

On the day of the event, please sign in here by clicking edit next to the sign-in header and then typing your username by adding 4 tildes. For e.g. ~~~~ username
