A Wikipedia "Learn to edit" workshop and Edit-a-thon will be held in Ottawa on the morning of Saturday, 20 January, 2018. Library staff will be on hand to assist in providing reference material.

Date: Saturday, January 20, 2018
Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Location: Ottawa Public Library Main branch (120 Metcalfe St.) in the computer lab located at the back of the reference section on the third floor
New editors please sign up on the library event page (link to be posted here once known)
Experienced editors, please help newbies getting started
Bring your own device (laptop, note-pad, etc) if you wish, use the lab computers (easiest), or sign out a ChromeBook from the library to use

Editing theme[edit]

While the main focus will be on helping new users learn basic editing skills, experienced users are welcome to come and edit your choice of pages. The following ideas from WP:OTTAWA may help:
