Not really sure what I will be doing exactly but probably a combination of sharing my knowledge of Chemistry, Formula 1 and literature, filling Wikiquote with snippets from whatever I happen to be reading, and correcting spelling and grammar where appropriate (I work as a copy editor so that will be second nature, or even first nature, for me). As I'm a native speaker of Dutch as well as English I'll probably hang around the Dutch pages as well.

Hey!

I'm an avid fan of Wikipedia (and have been so for quite a number of months). However, I got down to editing articles only a coupla weeks back and got deeper into the editing game just last week.

I am pretty new at this... Everyday on Wikipedia, I discover that there's a lot more out there than I previously thought there was!! I'm interested in basically almost anything - but if you check out my edits, you'd see that I've mostly worked with little-known/obscure topics related to my country (India) and with Contemporary Christian Music artists.

Frankly speaking, I am against vandalism. But what interests me more than curbing vandalism is increasing the quality of the articles found on Wikipedia - by citing appropriate references where necessary, verifying facts, etc. I'm only now starting to learn, though! Hi! My name is Julio, I'm spanish, and I'm 12 years old.

I made an account of Wikipedia because I am an epert gamer and I wanted to write about games on the internet, and on a wideley-known website, so I chose this one. Funny how it happened really.

You see, I had to write about Celsius and Fahrenheit and everything knnow about these units of temperature measure. I was loooking on Wikipedia for information about them, and I found some articles with quite a big amount of grammar mistakes adn text that nobody could ever understand, so I decided to re-write them and make them better, but I haven't got round to it as I haven't been able to get onto my computer for 2 days! In future I'll be doing this, but not now!

So, I hope to contribute well to Wikipedia with a ton of articles about video-games, and I wish all my best to the site! Thank you very much for reading this!

I am trying to figure out how to do both. Any feedback in layman's terms for a very non-technical but quick learner would be greatly appreciated.

I teach part time for two colleges and this is where I found out about Wikipedia - from my students. Even though they are not allowed to use Wikipedia as a reference, I do tell them to use Wikipedia to further understand a subject matter as I feel most of the info out here is legit.

I have been a social networker since I was first introduced to computers in the early 1980's. I have written many websites in my time (typically simple html sites) but find that it is far more fun to put together information from a number of sites (such as flickr, blogs and wiki's) than to write my own. Also I believe that a site like wikipedia provides a much better vehicle for sharing knowledge within the internet community.

Wikipedia is especially fascinating to me as it is such a free place to work within. I have wanted to get involved with Wiki work for the past two years but it wasn't until recently that I finally took the plunge. I am working on two threads right now - Key Skills and Raglan, Wales History. One is my work and the other my passion.
