This is about a recent French law whose legislative process took unexpected twist, and which was commented upon in the American press from a fairly.. oriented point of view. I don't know whether the article is understandable for those who have not followed the case - it's probably a bit full of legalese and discussions of procedure (but this may not be avoided, since this is about a law for which there is a constitutional challenge on grounds of parliamentary procedure).
