About the lead section:

• Too many brackets in the first paragraph of the lead. Consider moving the translations/explanations to another location.
• Remove the quotes from the lead that are not in the article. The lead is supposed to be a summary of the article.

A few more suggestions about the lead:

• There are two more closing brackets than opening brackets. - Corrected. --Sankarrukku 10:46, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
• I would like to see a colon and comma between brackets, "(Sanskrit: devīmāhātmyam, देवीमाहात्म्यम्)".- Done. --Sankarrukku 10:46, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
• Improve the prose of the sentence that starts with "Also" by removing the hyphen and adding "The Devi Mahatmya is" to the beginning.- Done --Sankarrukku 10:46, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
