I've listed this article for peer review because I want it to be a good article candidate again. It fell from grace two years ago and, so far, nobody has managed restore it. What should be done?

• I'd like to review this article. But, before I start, I'd like to ask one question: are you willing to make serious effort to improve the article? I've wasted many hours typing detailed peer reviews only to see them ignored, and I don't want to do it again. • Game titles like Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards need to be italicized. "Characteristics" needs massive trimming, and probably more sources. "Appearances" needs expansion. "Reception" is likely lacking tons of sources. _Blake ^{(Talk·Edits)} 03:08, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia, but please understand that Peer review "is intended for high-quality articles that have already undergone extensive work." If you are looking for suggestions towards expanding an article, it is a far better idea to contact the most relevant WikiProject (or editor, if someone is knowledgeable in the topic) instead. That being said, because I'm already here, I might as well give my 2 cents:

• Please read the WikiProject Video games article guidelines. This is a policy page, and is standard issue across Wikipedia, so it's important that you understand the guidelines regardless of what direction you take the article in.
• It is also a good idea to look at other, similar pages that have achieved GA or FA standard, to compare to your intended work. A good example in this case is Samus Aran.
• The article as a whole needs more references.
• "Concept and creation" needs to be expanded. Why did he perfer the placeholder? What did the original sprite look like? When was Kirby renamed? Putting actor portrayal here is somewhat awkward, I think it should be split along the article.
• "Species" needs to be cut down. "Characteristics" should be outlined in "Concept and creation", and trimmed down.
• "Appearances" needs to be vastly expanded, and is currently completely under-referenced.
• "Reception" needs to be vastly expanded and referenced.
