I was one of the early contributors to this page. I've been busy with other articles, so haven't been able to give much attention to it. But in any case, I believe I can definitely point out its current shortcomings:

  • Images: The article lacks images. The reason is that not too many free images of Mujib exists. Of course, a boatload of images are there in the Internet, but these are without copyright information, and almost everyone uses them. But still, many important images can be added and need to be present in the article.
  • Rahman and his party very popular with Bangladeshi Hindus, who composed close to 20% of the population, as well as the indigenious and tribal communities in Chittagong Hill Tracts. Actually, in 1972 or 1973, Mujib gave a speech in Hill Tracts asking the tribals to assimilate with the Bengali culture, which made him somewhat unpopular. The other mistake here is the popultion figure of 20%, I think it is smaller than that (right now it is about 10-12%).
  • Mujib's family members contributed a lot to his unpopularity. Especially his elder son Sheikh Kamal was notorious. Anthony Mascarenhaas mentions in the book Bangladesh: A Legacy of Blood that Kamal actually resorted to bank robberies, and was almost killed in a gunfight with the police. Mujib is said to be infuriated at kamal for this, still he failed to curb Kamal and his other relatives.
  • The assassination part needs more treatment. Perhaps it will later be forked to another article (since there is so much info about it!!), but for now, it should mention the CIA/KGB connection, the planning of the assassination etc.
  • References: Of course, there aren't many at this moment, but I hope more will be added.

  • Infobox is ugly and should probably be converted (if possible) to something more stadard,like Template:Infobox President.
  • Bottom of article needs cleanup.
