Kings College Chapel West[edit]

The west end of King's College Chapel seen from The Backs. Clare College Old Court is on the left. A group of people punting along the River Cam can be seen in the foreground.

University of Cambridge and Cambridge link to this image. I think it is a nicely balanced picture uploaded by Solipsist, which illustrates a pretty famous, if not important English landmark. It might need a little tilt, and it appears to be large enough, with no obvious (to this non-expert) technical faults.

Comments:

  • It's a decent photograph, but the subject is a bit cut off / hidden, which is a problem. Some mention of punting on the image description page, and perhaps adding this to that article, would add to its encyclopedic value, however. --Davepape 01:19, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • The tree on the right bugs me. This could benefit from a tighter crop, with just the chapel and the Old Court. I like the punter, though. howcheng {chat} 23:54, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seconder:

  • I am also not an expert, but this seems like a fine picture that illustrates the article well (and I like the boat (punt?) in the foreground). Send it to the next stage. Ruhrfisch 15:04, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
