Discussion of temp block continues here ...

Could you please reference the policy that permits blocking for justifying biased writing? If there were one, half the editors on WP would need blocking. If there were a policy of blocking for "unwillingness to follow our policies", you'd be first blocked for this sort of behaviour. Setting up a page for justifying your abuse of your powers doesn't stop what you're doing from being an abuse, Ed. -- Grace Note
I can't think of a specific policy on blocking for justifying bias so maybe I was wrong. But I felt that CF was disrupting Wikipedia, and he didn't seem to object to the temp block. Enforcement would appear to be a bit of a judgment call. One of the virtues of having a log page, is that it facilitates after-action discussions like this. If I've done something against the spirit (or even the letter) of Wikipedia policy, a page like this will make it glaringly obvious. -- Uncle Ed (talk) June 28, 2005 21:12 (UTC)

The whole thing is against both. You block people for, roughly, disagreeing with you or your way of doing things, and then you justify yourself to, erm, well, pretty much just yourself, Ed. Not many people are going to have the balls to call you on it. You count on that. But you know you're way outside both the letter, and worse, the spirit. -- Grace Note
