Who knows this music?[edit]

Hi there.
Does anyone know, what music is played here at 19:06, plus the music at 20:58? Both sound very familiar to me, but I just don't get it. Thanks in advance. --193.196.64.2 10:12, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I arrogantly assumed I'd know it before listening, but it wasn't familiar. The best I can suggest is what you may already know: if it's not an original score, then it's post Berlioz and probably an Impressionist. Perhaps some passing Debussy or Ravel fans can grab a quick listen. Going out on what feels like a limb, I'll suggest it's from one of the outer movements of La Mer and hope someone else can confirm or reject this.Wolfgangus 23:57, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The music at 19:06 is Ennio Morricone's "L'Estasi Dell'Oro" ("The Ecstasy of Gold"), from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. It was redone by Michael Kamen and the San Francisco Symphony for the Metallica album S&M. --jh51681 00:38, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name that TV show (US)[edit]

Years ago, I remember seeing a few episodes of a US television program. I don't know what the name of it is, and I've searched Wikipedia high and low to no avail. It probably aired sometime during the late '80s into the early/mid '90s, and featured a man and woman who had wed, creating a blended family with at least three children, two teenage girls and a younger boy. One girl was an airhead while the other was quite the opposite.

One scene from the program featured the ditzy girl complaining that her stepbrother had peaked on her while she was showering. Another had the two girls playing some sort trivia game that required one to remove an article of clothing for each missed question. The smart girl was going to leave when the airhead girl missed an "intellectual" question and had to give up her jacket, so she stayed and they made a formiddable team. The smart girl knew all of the answers to the "intellecutal" questions, while the airhead girl knew all of the answers to the pop culture questions (one was "What is Madonna's last name", to which the smart girl replied "Madonna has a last name?"). In the end, the boys they were playing with were in their underwear while the girls were still fully clothed.

Other than the blended family, it sounds like Roseanne. Becky was the ditzy older sister, Darlene was the smart older sister, and DJ was the little boy who liked to sneak in and watch his sisters in the shower. ("Mom, am I a prevert ?" ...
