Words to 1970's Song[edit]

Do you know where I can find the words to the song "Sherry Baby"? I think it was written by the Four Seasons in 1970's. Thanks, Sheri Hughes <email removed> —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 198.28.61.100 (talk) 02:45, 5 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, Sheri. There's a short article on Sherry (song). I'm afraid I shouldn't link you directly to a lyrics website for copyright reasons. But if you google "Sherry" and "lyrics" you get several sites presenting the song's lyrics. ---Sluzzelin 02:56, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are the WWF Fights real or just shows?[edit]

Dear Sir! I sincerely ask you a question which is very important to me and my kid aged 15 years. sir, are the WWF fights real one or just pre-shooted tv shows? I have heard earlier that these are just tv shows and the participants are aware of the sequence and style of fight. They just act in the ring. But my kid doesn't considers it as tv show. He says it is a real fight and devotes most of his valuable time in watching such shows. Please clarify and help me sir.

sincerely yours Anand Pandey 59.144.105.42 13:14, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is all staged. You can read more at Professional wrestling. -GhostPirate 18:17, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. My opa was devastated when he learned this. − Twas Now ( talkcontribse-mail ) 07:35, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's also fake, in that the wrestlers are not in fact doing to each other what they appear to be doing. (By "staged" I would mean that the outcome of the fights are predetermined and the wrestlers are actors playing characters.) See also shoot wrestling for wrestling that is staged but not fake (in this sense). --Tardis 14:51, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Masquerade[edit]

Hello, i'm italian and i have signed in just for copying the articles in italian wikipedia. I want to know something about the New Wave band Masquerade. In any wikipedia of this world there aren't informations about this band and, through a search on the web, i knew just that Masquerade was a 80's german band who realized a famous hit single, Guardian Angel, and then nobody had more informations about them. If anybody can tell me something about them and their discography i will be very funny. I'll wait an answer. --Cacapepe 14:55, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Cacapepe. Masquerade was one of the many pseudonyms used by the late singer and songwriter Drafi Deutscher, whose most famous hit recorded under his own name was Marmor, Stein und Eisen bricht (1965). An unfortunate incident in 1968 involving schoolboys watching him urinate from his balcony was very bad for Deutscher's publicity and forced him to use other names in the future. He was a prolific songwriter, composing for other recording artists too (among other hits, he wrote Belfast for Boney M). What's remarkable about Guardian Angel is that he managed to stay in the German charts' top two positions for weeks with the same composition, one version sung in English by himself (as "Masquerade"), the other version, Jenseits von Eden, sung in German by Nino de Angelo (a German singer with Pugliese roots). By the way, Dutch Wikipedia does have an article on Masquerade. Here's a link to Deutscher's discography . --Sluzzelin 08:31, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chamillionaire[edit]

Does Chamillionaire really wear braces? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.28.247.144 (talk) 17:32, 5 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

He may do; he certainly wears grills that look like braces; the Chamillionaire parody White & Nerdy claims that the rapper singing the song (Weird Al) "don't wear grills but [he] still wears braces". However, I can't find any sources other than the Wikipedia page about White and Nerdy, which make a definite statement either way. Laïka 21:37, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've started an account on Ruckus, and I'm trying to find a way to convert the protected wma files to mp3 (192bps VBR, preferably). Is there a free or free source program that would unlock and convert these files? —Akrabbimtalk 20:58, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia will not assist you with illegal activities such as copyright violation. --Nelson Ricardo 11:29, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's not copyright violation. I'm not planning on sharing any of my music. It is purely for my own use, to put on CD or an iPod (if I ever get one). Aren't I entitled to fair use rights of music I have legally downloaded? —Akrabbimtalk 21:52, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Seeing as a lot of these files are copyprotected, I think converting them or even copying them for use on a CD or iPod is problematic. - Mgm|(talk) 12:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
