Which is the original "Hit the Road Jack"?[edit]

I found these two songs claimed to be Ray Charles' "Hit the Road Jack".

Title of this hentai(?) manga.[edit]

I found a censored version of a page of manga: http://pds.egloos.com/pds/1/200509/19/19/b0000319_10461651.jpg. Can you tell me what is this manga?--JSH-alive (talk)(cntrbtns)(mail me) 06:36, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unless it's a scanlation, it's not manga. It's manhwa (Korean).--SeizureDog 06:45, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I can see it is an official Korean "version" of a Japanese comics.--JSH-alive (talk)(cntrbtns)(mail me) 06:49, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok then. Hmm. Well, the artstyle does seem vaguely familar. Gah, can't think of the guy though. Not that it means anything in the first place. Don't happen to have any more clues?--SeizureDog 06:55, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Classical Music Piece in Channel Five's Trailer for 'Dirt'[edit]

There is currently a piece of classical music being played on an advertisement for the American TV show 'Dirt' on the UK's Channel Five. (Datewise this would be during the period of September 2007) Does anyone know what the name of the piece and the composer is? I have attempted to find the piece's name on google and wikipedia but have overwhelmingly unsuccessful. I have tried several sites dedicated to advertisment music as well. So this is kind of a last resort. Thanks all.

anime giantess[edit]

On Dailymotion.com, there was a video of giantess compilations from different shows. What is the name of an anime where a character has green hair and becomes a giant in blue bikini and how about the anime where a man and a woman are hugging together until she grows as a giantess? the doppelgang's all here[edit]

Any idea what was the first movie in which an actor playing two characters appears as both in a single shot? The earliest I can think of is the premiere of The Patty Duke Show (1963 September 18), but I'll be quite surprised if no one can top it. Not counting e.g. The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1933) in which Mabuse's spirit rises from his body in an overt double exposure. —Tamfang 19:36, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I could be wrong but I believe there's a shot of Boris Karloff playing twins in The Black Room (1935).--Sethacus 21:46, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Alec Guinness played 8 roles in Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) - there may have been such a scene there. -- JackofOz 21:47, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've seen KH+C at least twice and I don't think any two of them ever met. —Tamfang 01:27, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, I think there's a shot with two of them in coffins. —Tamfang 22:17, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
During the funeral of (i think) Young Ascoyne, the first victim, all the survivors are briefly seen in one shot – sitting still. —Tamfang (talk) 03:49, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Did Charlie Chaplin's two characters in The Great Dictator (1940) ever meet face to face?, and if so, were they both in the same shot? --Anonymous, 02:48 UTC, October 1, 2007.
L'homme-orchestre (1900) by Georges Méliès is the earliest example I can think of, but I'm sure he tried similar things around 1897. Skarioffszky —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 17:49, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrities and their beliefs[edit]

I would like to read about the religious affinities and beliefs of the celebrities from all departments and from all over the world. This simply can not be done by any one person so I request the wikipedia admin and community and everyone who can - please create this page and help it enlarge it. I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jabir99 (talkcontribs) 21:15, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One page with, what, tens of thousands (at a very conservative guess) of entries? Not gonna happen. On another hand, a collection of pages such as List of Orthodox Christian musicians might be feasible. —Tamfang 21:33, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Pages like that are rather useless. For example, Brad Pitt was born in Shawnee Oklahoma and attended a Southern Baptist church. Brad currently does not go to church. So, should he be listed in List of Southern Baptist Christian actors? Worse than that, consider a politician like Hillary Clinton. She's claimed to be many religions, including Jewish. How many lists should her name show up in? -- kainaw 21:56, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Add to that the fact that celebrities are hardly ever asked about their religious beliefs and the specifics of them so there aren't very many celebs with verifiable sources as to their beliefs. If a celeb is raised in a certain church but no longer attends, nobody really thinks much of it. But do they still consider themselves, for instance, Catholic, just not an active Catholic, or do they now consider themselves athiest or agnostic? We don't know and as I said, celebs are hardly ever asked this in interviews. Dismas|(talk) 00:06, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
