Dishwasher accident[edit]

My wife insists there was a not-too-old movie (1980's or later) in which one of the characters became paralyzed by falling onto the rack of an open dishwasher. Apparently one of the divider prongs severed her spinal cord when she fell down. Did this really happen? My first thought here is Cherry 2000. But it doesn't happen as you describe. Cherry's death scene involves washing dishes, but it's because she's not waterproof. APL (talk) 02:53, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some creative googling suggests that there's a dishwasher death in "Ghost in the Machine (film)", but I haven't seen that, so I don't know how it goes. APL (talk) 03:00, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I actually saw that scene while channel surfing the other day. It involves a malicious dishwasher leaking, and then bursting open flooding the room. There's an extension cord on the floor with a loose plug in it causing a woman to get electrocuted. Throughout the scene, an LED display on the dishwasher progresses through the various cycles: WASH, AGITATE, EXPLODE, DIE. --Bavi H (talk) 01:19, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Garden State (film) - from googling a review "when Andrew was a wee lad, there was some sort of accident involving him and a faulty dishwasher door, which caused mom to trip and fall, paralyzing her from the waist down". Nanonic (talk) 03:56, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Mangler was a short story by Stephen King that features a killer clothes washer; it was made into a series of (probably really aweful) films by Tobe Hooper. Our article on the story features links to the IMDB articles on the films. Video of the Schapelle Corby verdict and sentencing[edit]

Does anybody know where I can access a video of the verdict and sentencing in the Schapelle Corby trial. It seems from the article that it was broadcast live in Australia, but Google and YouTube have failed me in my search.
