Numb3rs episode "Thirteen" (4th season) music[edit]

Hi! In Numb3rs 4th season is episode "Thirteen", where serial killer kill people like 12 apostols. Every time after he kill, he left same classical music -song playing (I think that it's Mozart or Vivaldi). in which cartoon/s is the word 'pixellated' used to mean 'drunk'?[edit]

in my recollection, I seem to hear it in Sylvester the Cat's voice, but I might well be wrong. Can anyone help?

Apparently in Daffy Duck Slept Here (1948)[1], Porky the Pig accuses Daffy of being pixilated. It also appears that he says it in Porky's Hare Hunt (to Bugs) and Porky in Wackyland (to a dodo). Be aware though, that the term 'pixilated' meaning 'drunk' is (I'm fairly sure) not derived from 'pixel', but is far older and refers to being apparently under the influence of pixies. My edition of the OED doesn't contain it, but does have

"Pixie-led a. Led astray by pixies; lost; bewildered, confused. So Pixy-leading."

It's also worth pointing out that WB didn't originate most of the jokes in their cartoons. They were echoing cultural references that were well-known at the time, many of which have since either become obscure or have become primarily associated with the cartoons. Even Bugsy's iconic "What's up, Doc?" was an expression that the 1940 cartoon's writer had heard all the time back in his home town. Enabling voice dubs on an old Laserdisc machine[edit]

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me figure this out. My parents have an ancient Laserdisc machine, a Panasonic LX-101U multi-laser disc player for their karaoke needs. Everything works pretty well, except whenever they put in a karaoke laserdisk, they get video and music, but no "singer" to sing along with. Sure, the lyrics are on the screen, but they would like to have the singer sing the songs with them. My parents swear that it used to do that a long time ago (we're talking nearly 10 years here). Unfortunately, they've lost the remote, and I can't seem to find a manual online (the "Operating Instructions" booklet doesn't mention anything about the issue). Does any have an idea? An update here, I've tracked down the situation to a mere switch of "Digital" vs "Analog" sound. Unfortunately, there's no way to switch from one to the other without the remote... is there? There was a really good MTV Icon show I saw a while ago. I remember that Liv Tyler was in it, and she may have worn or had in her hand a pair of glasses.
