How Do You Calculate Tour De France Stage Wins?[edit]

Hello,

I am having some issue at trying to calculate stage wins for Tour De France and similar races. Can you explain this calculation in a step by step process since I don't get how to do it.

Thanks in advance, --FrostBlaze (talk) 01:08, 8 July 2010 (UTC) FrostBlaze (talk) 18:01, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A stage win is just crossing the finish line first in a stage, so there's not much to calculate. Do you mean the "Maillot vert" (green jersey), the points awarded based on finishing place and type of stage? If so, see the article Points classification in the Tour de France. --Canley (talk) 04:29, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but I was aware that a stage win is just crossing the finish line first in a stage. However, the question which I was asking is that in some cyclist riders' profiles is say the amount of stage wins in addition to it the information in infobox under "Major wins" doesn't really match the "Career highlights" section in terms of how many stage wins the rider has and what do I in that case? FrostBlaze (talk) 18:01, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
WAG here, but "major wins" would also include the one-day events such as Liege-Bastogne-Liege or the Fleche Wallonne, and not just the stage events such as Tour de France or the Giro d'Italia. --TammyMoet (talk) 20:18, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I understand the issue with regards to those one-day events. However, from my understanding after researching the subject more; I found out that stage wins are pretty much total of how many stages the specific cyclist rider won in that event in this case Tour De France during their career. Please correct me if I am wrong on my understanding of stage wins in the cycling world since I am really interested in learning about the competitions in the cycling world.FrostBlaze (talk) 17:59, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Title of 2000s horror film[edit]

Hello, I'm looking for a 2000s horror film about a group of people from the same company who go together to some taring but whee they arrive at the supposed training center things turn out different. I'm pretty sure that i saw a trailer but that's about it. 82.84.181.22 (talk) 19:28, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name of Deep South film[edit]

I'm trying to come up with the name of a film I saw on TV at least ten years ago. All I can remember is that it concerned a young woman and her wedding (I'm sure she spent most of her screentime in a white dress.) The film was set in the rural Deep South, and her father doled out homespun wisdom to her from his shack in the swamp. I remember Mahler's 5th symphony figured in it somewhere and the end credits were over a long slow camera shot tracking through a swampy bayou. Any takers for this one? Very speedy, indeed. I can't say for sure, but the reference to th 5th symphony must surely clinch it - thanks FreeMorpheme (talk) 22:01, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
