Nollywood/Chibok girls[edit]

Does anyone if theres been a Nollywood movie about the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping? Clearly they have more authority than a Hollywood film.

^{[citation needed]} on your sentence that begins "clearly". I'm not sure any one art movement has "authority" over any other art movement. Art is art. Regarding your third statement, Arab cinema notes that most Arabic movies are made in Egypt. Cinema of Egypt covers this (it also makes some sense as Egypt is the most populous Arabic-speaking country). There does not appear to be a portmanteau word to describe Egyptian cinema akin to Nollywood or Bollywood. --Jayron 32 00:38, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(after edit conflict) I don't know about the first question. Googling "Lost Students" + "The Missing School Girls" + "Nollywood" yields bits and pieces on Nollywood "dropping" those two films, purportedly on the kidnapping, but I found nothing reliable. Unless you include documentaries, in which case there is Waiting for Hassana by Ifunanya Maduka (see also 'Chibok Girls’ film “Waiting for Hassana” premieres in U.S.)

As for the second question: The Cinema of Egypt was once called 'Hollywood of the East' (though the article makes no mention of it, and according to the Arab Weekly it's no longer worthy of that title). This link at Quora lists some more '-woods'. ---Sluzzelin talk 00:42, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
